We stayed there for 3 nights, last March 2014. From the start it seemed that everything is not okey with this resort! The receptionist didn't show any interest and the staff in generally was unhappy and avoided any contact to us. Only smily person was a guy who worked at the restaurant. The worst was the couple who seemed to... More

After your cab drive from the airport, you have to take a longboat to Tonsai Bay. We had to wade through the water carrying backpacks with no help from the boatman.Upon arriving at Tonsai we were treated like a huge inconvenience. I had asked for a cot on BOOKING.COM and he had no record of it and told us my... More

A million miles away from the 'Riley experience', this place has it all: stunning rooms, one of the best restaurants in the village (located next to 'Muscle Beach' where rock climbers go about their business right next to the swimmers), their open air bar with wooden chill out platforms and very helpful and efficient staff. Right at the end of... More

What a disappointment! Absolutly no value for money at all. It started at check in. The receptionist didn't show any interest in his job whatsover and during the whole check in procedure, which took about half an hour, he was playing poker on his phone. When I asked him what we where waiting for he just looked at me and... More

A good resort with very basic amenities. The location is stunning with the bungalows overlooking the cliffs. Very close to the beach and probably the best resort in that beach. Breakfast was decent. But there are quite a few downhills to these, this is not located in Railay, but in the bay along Railay. You would have to take a... More

It was very close to the beach so we had breakfast every morning looking out to the sea.The service was average but not really the friendliest. Not really cheap compare to others but it was worth it. It's best when with friends to divide the cost and to enjoy the "luxury" compared to simple huts around Tonsai. I usually but... More

Probably the best on the beach but considering there are places on Tonsai available for 150 baht that's not saying a huge amount. Owner was super-miserable on arrival & as for the guy who took us & our bags to the room - guess he missed the 'land of smiles' class at school. At least the stoners were friendly (a... More

This hotel was very basic with all facilities. Actually, we did not expect a whole lot since the room rate was quite low. The room was not as clean as it should be. The location is fine that we could get on with our trip to visit islands. The breakfast was also OK.

My group of friends stayed at Tonsai Bay Resort in May 2013, during the low season and main objective was to rock climb. The resort runs electricity by generator so during low season, there was only power from 5pm to 9am which was not a big problem for us. With such pristine beaches around, I am sure you would prefer... More

We loved the area of Tonsai and West Railay. We stayed here based on a friends recommendation, and while the area is nice, the general feeling of the resort is a bit tired and unkept. Our room was also disappointing with mismatching furniture, dead bugs, holes in the ceiling from failed attempts of putting up the mosquito net and ants... More
