The last couple of months travel plans took me on a combined business & holiday itinerary through South-east Asia and the South Pacific. This trip included Thailand, and a familiarization tour of the Krabi area. I made the choice to stay at several Krabi accommodations, and the Aonang Villa Resort was one of them.
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay there.
Important refurbishing works were still going on during my stay (according to the most recent reviews these should all have finished by now) and this was of course not the most pleasant aspect of my stay. On the other hand, I found some negative reviews slightly exaggerated. Indeed, these works, which to my opinion seemed necessary to upgrade or even maintain the hotels standard of quality, were carried out in what I would call a respectfull way.
