Lamai's Guesthouse is located in the province of Isan (also spelled Isaan or Esarn), about 7 hours by train from Bangkok, in a rural village. We had a wonderful time with Jimmy and Lamai. We visited with our 2 children (14 and 12) and some friends. Accommodation very comfortable and immaculately clean. We really got a taste of village life, the kids loved the food foraging and our visit to the silk village was a real highlight for me. Highly recommended. Julie Baxter UK more

I was travelling from Bangkok to Nong Khai and on to Laos. I had stayed in a range of accommodation, from smart hotels to hostels when, by chance, I was surfing the web and came across Lamai's Homestay/Guesthouse in a rice village in Ko Phet, Bua Yai, Khorat, Isan in North-East Thailand.
