We arrived on bus and walked to our hotel. It was only a short distance from the station. The check in was pretty much straight forward but when we got to the elevator there was a sign saying due to a pest problem everyone had to leave their rooms for an hour or two which was a bit worrying but... Used the pool most days whilst working as a teacher and it was always well taken care of and chairs recovered, fresh towels, towels moved if left and nice toilets shower facilities. Breakfast nice selection of Thai foods rice hot food etc but also breads to toast and pastries, fruits, cereals and tea and coffee. Free wifi but have to... More

River Kwai hotel at Kanchanaburi. Thai style hotel at middle of Kanchanaburi. Rooms ok and clean. Nice swimming pool at back yard. Value good. Quite good asian style breakfast. Parking for motorbikes and cars. Some restaurants nearby. About 10minutes walk to river.

Hotel looks very nice from the outside, and reception area.but going above to your room, hallways, very dirty, badly worn carpets, The walk to the outside pool is not suitable for the elderly. The staff are not helpful. 18,000 bht it's not a cheap hotel.but not worth the price, there are lots of cheaper and better hotels around that area, For any backpacker, opposite is... More

Not a great spot to stay from the perspective of how it looks and feels. Staff are good, hotel just old and dilapidated. Good proximity to Kanchanaburi cemetery. Bar is fun... Wish they would give us a full damn shot... Breakky omelette good!

Worst hotel experience I have had in Thailand. Booked four nights but left the hotel after the first night. Summary: 1. Receptionist staff spoke poor English 2. To get to pool had to take elevator to 2nd floor then walk down 3 flights of old wooden stairs 3. No bartender at pool 4. Hotel policy was to provide only 1... More

The pool area of this hotel was probably the best feature ! The rooms were clean and it was very central but definitely a budget hotel. The Internet worked intermittently, my son was very disappointed!

Stayed here several times now. It I close to the town centre but a fair walk to the tourist bars - about one and half mile away You are close to a noisy railway line with first train at 6.30am. Apart from that it is quietish. This time we started off in room 311 The electrics kpet failing and after... More

This hotel is old and does not do regular maintenance. We booked two rooms. Both bathrooms were last tiled perhaps 20 years ago and looks very worn and run down. Bedrooms had had a recent overall with new beds and linen but not furniture. Having said that there was paint pealing off the wall. The passages are either very tiered... More
