We only stay here 3 nights as we were not sure what to expect in Kanchanaburi. We booked 1 night and extend more 2 nights. We spent an afternoon at a spa, amazing since there isn't a town near by but thankfully, free taxi to town every day. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They always served with smile and... More

The stay at the Royal River Kwai really does not match the website. I was traveling with my partner and some friends. We had done heaps of research about where to stay and really thought at that by the website, the Royal River Kwai would be beautiful, tranquil and well maintained. It is not. It is run down, the rooms... More

Judging from the photos we were expecting something a lot better than what we were met with. Although the site is pretty the rooms were really not nice at all, dirty and drab. The bathroom was really bad, filthy old shower curtain, dodgy sink that leaked etc. The menu was very basic with not a lot of choice; just the... More

Set in really beautiful gardens with a lovely pool and picturesque setting next to the river, the hotel has a relaxed feel to it. We stayed in the suite room, close to the river. It was quite spacious with nice decor and well looked after. The hotel is a little way out from the main town, but fine if you... More

Good hotel with very nice tropical garden and big, deep pool - good place where to have rest. Unfortunately it is a bit far from city center, each time to get there costs 200 baht one way. There are no places where to eat nearby, so hotel menu is the only choice. Hotel offers good tours around Kanchanaburi. Tiger temple,... More

Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens, clean rooms and a nice pool, all right on the river. Breakfast was pretty average and beds a little hard but most beds in thailand are. They are right on the river but there was no where set up to actually sit and enjoy it- there looks like there normally is but it was all... More

We stood there with 4 adults and 5 teenagers for 1night in July. The resort in marvellous located on the shores of the river kwai about 3 kilometers away from the famous river Kwai bridge. The tropical garden is beautiful and well maintained. The pool is the highlight of the resort and unique in Thailand. The rooms are located in... More

We booked this at the last minute and what a mistake. From the moment we arrived service was appalling, we were made to feel more than unwelcome...a first in Asia. The bedrooms are poor, linen was not clean, service was a questionable. In fact the only positive thing was the beautiful location. Oh and to top it all, there seemed... More
