We arrived without a booking and had not trouble getting a room for 650 baht. There was parking available. The room isn't large but adequate. The fridge kept turning off when we took the key out of the power, but that was because the staff had it plugged into the wrong point. We changed it over and then it was... More

The Pong Phen guesthouse is the best way to stay in Kan. Do not expect luxury rooms. But great value, very good friendly service and maybe the best food in town. Went there alreay more times. Book one of the rooms close to the river. Cost a bit more but very quiet and nice

Visited the guest house for a 2 night stay, arrived with no reservations and was shown a room overlooking the river. 400baht for a cheaper room (no TV, no wifi in room) nether the less was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good, vast selection on menu. Pool was refreshing especially in 34 degree heat. Staff friendly.

This is one of the guesthouses with a mentioning on wikitravel and the first place we went to after arriving by minibus from Bangkok. The guesthouse is located on the river in the popular tourist area around Maenam Kwai road. Bars and restaurants are within walking distance and there are also two convenience shops nearby. As we arrived and were... More

Arrived to find quite a large hotel with bungalows and rooms. The large swimming pool in the centre was very inviting. We walked to the bridge which took about 15mins, got a taxi to cemetery and rail museum then easy walk back to hotel . Very quiet but tourists were down this year, october. Free pick up from bus stayion.

Great hotel with great staff who can't do enough for you. The room was large and the complementary water and soft drinks in the fridge were topped up daily. The breakfast was good and freshly cooked. The hotel is just off one of the main streets so less noise but easy access if you want more. Easy walking distance to... More

Stayed here 4/5 of Oct, for 650Bt you get a good size room ,large bed( you could get 4 in if you wanted to ), and a pool outside your door, the pool seemed to be overkill with the chlorine, but I guess it stops the mozzys from using it to lay eggs in, the food was good, and even... More

My friend and I spent two nights here and the staff were so helpful and friendly we loved it. We felt very welcome and they were very knowledgable and gave us lots of advice about where to go and how to get that. Thank you! I would highly recommend it to travellers and holiday makers looking for a friendly place... More
