We stayed at the jungle rafts for one night as part of a two day private tour we'd organised with Good Times Travel. We arrived by longtail boat about 4pm, it was raining but we were really excited and the rain didn't dampen our enthusiasm in fact it added to the atmosphere. Our family loved our night here and it... more

This location is excellent. First you go with a longboat on the river and they bring you after a trip of 20 minutes to the jungle rafts in the middle of nowhere on the river. The view is veryg beatiful and although hte rooms have no luxery of television or minibar, but the luxury of the sounds of nature and... more

We were unsure what to expect when Explore tour document said two nights in floating rafts with no electricity. What a setting, reached via speedboat up the river, arrived late afternoon, speedily allocated rooms, which were clean, and consisted of a double and a single bed. Both comfortable and with mossie nets. Bathroom ensuite with cold water, and western style... more

The setting and hotel itself are truly amazing. Really peaceful, beautiful and rustic with nice natural decor. Who cares about electricity, we never once felt that we needed it, after all you are on a raft, and the food was excellent. Not many independent travellers when we were there, the place filled up with package tours every evening, but thankfully... more

Reasonable weather, not hot and humid, although no A/C. Loved the swimming, the view, the quietness, the rooms, the arrival by the long-tail boat. Bring a torch. You get one with the room key. Make sure to wake the kids at 07:30 to feed the elephant behind the rooms. Beware of the swift current when swimming. Took the private boat... more

I only spent 3 days on these jungle rafts but it felt like a week. It was a very relaxing experience lounging on a hammock, watching the musicians and dancers, getting a massage, riding elephants through the jungle, floating down the river on a raft and some more relaxing on a hammock. The staff are all really friendly and not... more

Ok - it is a floating raft on a river in a jungle - no electricity, no air con there will be boats and there will be bees! We loved the experience - have to admit I was nervous ... being 5 months pregnant and with a 2 year old child, hubby with a bad back and my 70+ mother-in-law... more

A truly relaxing experience, floating top speed down the river Kwae from one end of the floating rafts to the other. Basic amenities, great for a few days. Cold water showers, flush your own loos straight into river and no electricity. Beautifully located in the middle of the river (fishing was great!) Plant boxes very attractive Mon village up above... more

We chose a 2 day 1 night package through sawadee.com. We were picked up by a/c bus in Bangkok early in the am and was taken to the War Cemetary, War Museum, Bridge over the River Kwai, and then to the raft hotel around lunch. We were greeted with lunch and shown our room. By this point we were supposed... more

We stayed at the Jungle Rafts as part of a two day tour to the Kanchanaburi region of Thailand. What a great decision! Our only regret is that we did not stay for two nights. The accomodation is simple and clean with fresh mountain water feeding the showers and modern western style toilets. Other than that -do not expect too... more
