Stayed for 3 nights in April. Very quiet hotel which surprised us as it was a big hotel but didn't seem remotely full. The grounds were beautiful as was the swimming pool. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the River Kwai and it was beautiful. All you could hear about the peace and quiet were the sounds... More

We arrived at the Felix River Kwai Resort at night and at night the hotel looks a lot better than in the daylight. This hotel needs a lot of work. I really don't think anything has been upgraded since 1978 and the entire place looks like an episode of Fantasy Island. The drainage and the buildings themselves need major overhauls.... More

We stayed here one night to attend the Anzac Day Dawn Service at Hellfire Pass. The hotel is located by the river and has beautiful grounds with two swimming pools. We were greeted at Reception by friendly staff who quickly arranged and escorted us to our rooms. The trek to the room is not easily accomplished with a few stairs... More

Stayed only one night here as part of our tour of Thailand. Arrived in the dark so did not see the lovely riverside setting until next morning before we moved on. The room we had was on the 3 floor and the overall impression was that it was a bit tired. We could not go on to the balcony at... More

I recently stayed here after a member of my family booked us a night here as part of my 9 day trip to Thailand. I hadn't seen the hotel until I walked towards the entrance on the morning of my stay. The first thing I said was, "How beautiful." It ticked all of my Thai expectations. A stones throw away... More

We stayed in this hotel for (initally) 4nights, the hotel is outdated but has a beautifull garden. The rooms need a facelift, bathrooms are very old. The people are friendly but the Chef should be fired. We live in Thailand and liked the opportunity to eat some western food, the lunch was Ok but dinner was a complete disaster if... More

we stayed at this hotel for one night and thank god for that! the hotel is old and it shows. it is not handicapped accessible as there are tons of steps and very sprawling which is unacceptable! i knew something was weird when i got a giant plastic punch card as a key. The room is very old, smelly with... More

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful, exotic resort for five nights/six days. We were upgraded to a room at the Royal Suites overlooking the River Kwai. We enjoyed walking the vast, expansive grounds with lush gardens and two swimming pools. Loved the daily complimentary buffet breakfast, live music entertainment at dinner and at the lounge bar. Booked excursions... More

Very disappointed. Rooms very old fashioned and in poor repair. Friend's room aircon and fridge didn't work. Pool tiles absolutely filthy. Refused to issue a 2nd room key. Shuttle bus parked outside but "not available". Clearly going through some cash flow issues probably due to low occupancy. Would not stay there again, and definitely would not recommend to friends.

Stayed here for 2 nights, would not stay longer. As another review said I suspect this was once a lovely hotel but I feel it is past its best. It is clean and comfortable but the rooms and decor is tired and dated. It is in need of a full refit and make over to bring it up to date.... More
