We only stayed there for 2 nights and we wished we had stayed longer. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. views from the rooms were spectacular, both garden and river sides. breakfast was good enough, but I have seen better. there were two things I didn't like, though. the lobby was an open space so it was very hot. one... Stayed in a junior suite: 2 balconies, one shower, one bath, the best old school water pressure and lovely English fittings. The room is furnished tastefully and embellished with decorative wood for that real old world feel plus the view of the river, of course. Not complaining about the vastness of the place hence the walks across the beautiful grounds.... More

We stayed at the Dheva Mantra last week and what a beautiful colonial style hotel. It is about a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre of Kanchanaburi. It was very quiet while we were there and two afternoons we had the fabulous infinity swimming pool to ourselves. Sitting at the poolside bar eating great thai food overlooking the River... More

Pros:-What a great resort, beautiful, rooms, amazing pool, lovely grounds with a view of the River Kwai. Cons:- no air conditioning or fans in the public area of the hotel and bar, it is just too hot to sit there after a day of sightseeing. No one staffing the pool bar. Very average breakfast (this room has a/c). Hardly anyone... More

The hotel is on the river Kwai, and set in very spacious grounds. The room and bathroom were enormous, and beautifully laid out, overlooking the river. There were two balconies , each of which was large, and we spent time there watching the most beautifulo sunsets. It's a Colonial style hotel, in beautiful grounds, with an excellent swimming pool. The bar is... More

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and it was very quiet during our stay possibly because it's some way out of town. The hotel is beautifully laid out and the public rooms are really lovely. The rooms are very large with a fantastic bathroom. We ate once in the international restaurant and the food was first class. The... More

We have spent 3 days at this hotel. We loved it. Excellent location. Well-mannered staff and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Had a room with an excellent view facing the river. Clean rooms and well maintained. We would definitely choose to stay here again. RECOMMENDED !!! Tks to all the staff.

We decided to repeat a journey that we last undertook 15 years ago and revisit the the war graves and the bridge over the, now renamed, river Kwai. Those are different subjects. Finding places to stay in the past was fairly easy as there were so few to choose from. Now there is a whole range of accommodation, from the... More

This resort is really lovely, by the river with a very nice tropical garden and swimming pool. The buildings look very much like old colonial buildings and the rooms are very well kept with nice hardwood floor and tiles, carved wood everywhere. Unfortunately, the service could really be improved. I have noticed mud in the hallways that stayed there for... More
