We had come to this area to visit the Burma Railway sites and were pleased to stop at a comfortable hotel where we could have a swim in the small, clean pool then sit in the garden and enjoy our G&Ts...albeit with mosquito/insect protection in place. The rooms were equipped with clean linen and were large, clean, each with their own little... More

There were 4 of us who booked in for 6 nights and had the most wonderful stay. We were greeted by a number of staff, all who's English was really good which was helpful. One of the party had a broken foot and her leg was in a moon boot so getting around was a bit difficult. The owners son... More

On my first return to 'kwai' in four years I had considered returning to apples retreat because of its riverside location and the rapport i had with the staff, but good reviews and the lure of a pool in what can be a hot and humid locale made me decide to try sabai@kan. Good choice. First pleasant surprise is that... More

We stayed 2 nights in a triple room in this hotel. The staf was really amazing! The breakfast was ok, room and bathroom very clean. The swimmingpool was rather small, but not crowded, just good! We didn't like Kanchanaburi town, but enjoyed the trip to the waterfalls. You can walk to the river bridge. This was really very good value... More

Located about a 15 min. walk or 5 min. tuktuk to the bridge, there are a few eateries and massage places in the vicinity. The room we had was simple and clean with a good amount of space. The lower level garden was delightful. Breakfast buffet had good variety. But what really made the stay was the wonderful staff. They... More

A beautiful relaxing hotel, very calm and peaceful garden and pretty pool away from the hubbub of the town. Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. All the staff are friendly and courteous and helpful. I arranged a couple of trips through the reception staff which was easy and efficient. Would recommend to friends/family. This is my second visit and... More

Good well run family hotel close to the river Kwai bridge. Rooms comfortable with well maintained central courtyard area with swimming pool. Excellent value for money. Breakfast adequate included in the room rate. Excellent stop off for golf and bridge visits. One hour drive from hell fire pass, forty mins from the Arawan waterfalls and national park.

From the road side , it didn't look special , but when we went down the stairs , well the garden was really good, the pool was good having been on a train for just under 3 hrs . The room was clean and tidy , coffee is free , and there are some great restaurants within a few minutes... More

We stayed here because ot our visit to the famous bridge&museum. The rooms are basis/simple but comfy with a nice few of the garden with small pool. It is situated about a kilometer from the bidge so walking there is possible. At night there are a lot of restaurant aolng the street and strangely also a lot of girlybars. The... More

Big comfy room, mine was pool side and very quiet. Only a short ten minute stroll to the bridge and train along a quiet Road with restaurants. I would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Thailand.
