First of, i heard about a nice garden with cheap rooms. That is a backpackers dream, at least it should be. The rooms are very dirty, and not cheap for what you get. They are the typical room you bring a bad bargirl to. Sheets are broken and i had what only can be described as blood stains. The walls... More

Jolly frog organised transport to airport in Bangkok. They said we would get there with plenty of time to spare. We left 6 hours before our flight. The driver stopped every 5-10mins to pick up fares on the side. We got dropped in the middle of Bangkok at a bus station to transfer to some other minivan. We missed our... More

Cheap hotel but lovely "feel" on the balcony overlooking the garden & river. Rooms tired, aircon not required as cool evenings & breeze off the river. beds basic, toilet seat broken, shower cold only, bring your own toiletries. Chairs on balcony looked pretty old but worked ok. Food at restaurant was good but service cha cha. Ok for the price.

This hotel is so cheap that also polites in not included in the price.. In fact the receptionis has a very bad way to speack to the customers since the first approach. The rooms are dirt, just a smelly nylon sheet cover the mattres, so you will be forced to sleep dressed, if you don't wont to sweat and be... More

Found this place on Trip Advisor & figured that the positive comments must mean that this was a place to surely visit. It is!! I arrived on the early train from Bangkok & found my way here. Had no booking but thought I would chance my arm. Immediately I was struck by the welcoming gardens & the fact that it... More

one of the main reasons for staying here is it's cheap. however there was a price increase in january so it's only the single rooms that are still cheap. for double rooms there are many other places in kanchanaburi that are cheaper. i haven't read anything about the poo problems at the jolly frog of which there are 2. they... Jolly Frog was the cheapest place I found in Kanchanubrui and loved my stay here. Swam in the lake everyday and found the most amazing Vegatarian restaurant/cooking class down the street. You can rent bikes out the front and staff were really helpful, great position for travellers.

The staff here could not care less for your custom. Unfortunately when looking around for a room or trying to order food or drink from the bar they have a knack of first disappearing and then when you do find someone they take 10 minutes to come back to you having totally misunderstood what you had asked for in the... The jolly frog is cheap and so you get cheap rooms, cold showers, questionable sheets. But I didn't care because the setting was just stunning - and the sheets were cool, they had toy cars on. I stayed in the 190B double room which happened to be on the floating raft - incredible! Sitting on the porch in the evening... More

Dirt cheap rooms, only 290 bath for a 2-persons room, with an awesome garden, where you can relax and enjoy the view over the river. The rooms are okay, but what can you expect for that price!? There is a travel agency located in the restaurant (also cheap, but really good) and a scooter rental just around the corner. If... More
