Lovely venue, overlooking the river. Serves Both Romance as well as activity lovers. The Luxury Tents are a little treat and a nice change from the hotels in BKK and Chiangmai. The buffet is ok and the staff is friendly. Just grab a beer and enjoy the beautiful view.

Hintok river camp is well hidden away from the main road, but is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very attentive and ensured that all of our needs were catered for. The tents were getting slightly run down, but besides from that the whole experience was very pleasant. The star of the show for me (strangely enough) was the platform in... More

Stayed here one night during a trip around the area. Tents were a nice change with all basics that you need. Surrounding grounds were relaxing. Great location on the river decking and fresh water pool. We did find a lot of the tents empty and it looked partially closed. The bar and reception area were often unattended whilst staff on... We are experienced travelers, but have never stayed in a tent before and tried to be woken up by a roaster. Very romantic end exotic. In the night you sleep accompanied by occasional rain showers and jungle sounds (and sounds from guest in the other tents of course). The breakfast is good, the pool small and natural by the beautiful... More

The place is beautifull and in the middel of no where. Thats true. But the website makes it look far more romantic and relaxed then it really is. I must dat we had a baby with us and 2 younger children. Not a good idea. The personel is friendly but not Sharp. All personel is constantly busy using the WiFi... More

The last night of of 4 night stay here and loved every moment. We perfected the art of doing nothing and relaxation. We chanced on this place by surfing the net for a place where we can just r3lax and get away from work. The tents were rather comfortable. Food was good, homecooked food, Thai style. Staff were extremely friendly... More

We stayed here as the second leg of our honeymoon after some time at the bridge over the river kwai . The staff we extremely helpful and pleasant although the guides were not extremely educated in the area and only knew what they had picked up from others doing the same job. On the whole it was an enjoyable couple... More

I stumbled incidently on the website of the Hintok River Camp in Kanchanaburi while searching a floating river hotel. Being horrified by their prices I found the river Camp and was all of a sudden taken back to East or Southern Africa where this sort of setting, a tented camp, is fairly common. I must say that the guys from... More

If you are used to camping this is a very special experience. We stayed for 4 nights at the start of a 19 day holiday & found plenty to do during the daytime, having organised in advance a day at Elephants' World & a day tour of the river Kwai, Erawan Falls, etc through Mellow Trek. We also borrowed bikes... More

We stayed at this place as part of a guided tour of Thailand. It is really a great camping experience. The tents are very comfortable and well situated. There is a beautiful/unique pool by the river. Kids had a blast at the campfire and having some freedom to run around the grounds. We were there in December and it was... More
