Service: Mediocre. Nice flower dresses but that doesn't make up for incompetence. Rooms: Small, but clean. Bathrooms are very small with a sink and a shower. Needs more toiletries. We had pre-booked a standard room for 5 nights but arrived one day earlier at 8pm & was unable to get a standard room for that night, only a deluxe room was available, so we took it. We moved here after being disgusted by the rooms at the City Beach Resort, which is nearby. The two hotels could not be more difference. The Thipurai is very well managed, and the levels of service are excellent. The staff really do make an effort here. The rooms are clean and sunny, and the deluxe rooms are really first class.... more

A very good central location only 5 minutes walk to the beach. The room was a good size and comfortable and the bathroom was more than adequate. The lady who cleaned the room did an excellent job.
