2 years ago I stayed in wonderful veranda resort and spa (northern huahin) and was sure that this lodge is a part of collective business. But immediately after arrival I felt that veranda lodge is a greeting from 19 century and that I made a very big mistake booking this place even for 1 night(((( Everything is smelly, old, look... The place is easy to find as there is a sign that can be seen from the highway. We checked in a little bit after 4pm, as we took the 3 hour bus from Suvarnabhumi airport. We did not have luggage with us so we were able to walk from the bus station to the hotel. Once there, check-in was... More

This hotel is a rather old one and also look like that! But it has atmosphere and a very friendly staff! Location is ON the Beach and we had our own sunbeds every day! Lunch and breakfast was quite OK. Spent some time riding on the horses at the beach. The day we left we were not allowed to keep our... More

Stayed here in a Garden Bungalow, excellent spacious detached traditional roomy with a large fridge and coffee making facilites and very clean. Very close to the beach and the main bonus is that sunbeds and umbrellas are allocated to the room, there is no need to reserve your bed at the crack of dawn. Nice little pool and never crowded... good location on the beach and not too far from town, 2 min tuk tuk or 5-10 min walk. Watch out as the Tuk-tuks around here are very overpriced and charging 100 baht per trip! we were booked in a bungalow, but changed on arrival after we looked at the room as smelt very damp and was filled with mosquitoes.... This hotel is perfectly placed in Hua Hin, right on the beach but also very close to the town, and an easy walk to all the bars and restaurant etc in Hua Hin. The facilities are not up to the standard of the big chain hotels, but that is it's charm. It is surrounded by greenery, with birds frogs and... More

The location is fantastic. You have the beach on one side and outside you can walk to the night market. They have cottages inside with gardens and free wifi. The beach is lovely and their restaurant on the beach has a beautiful sight. Loved the little touches like the extra towels for the beach and the flip flops they have... More

Hua Hin is a perfect getaway from Bangkok. Just a few hours away, you have a good beach and good food. What more do you want. Veranda Lodge is good value for money; we paid significantly less than what others quoted here. The premises has a lovely feel about it and you can get rooms overlooking the sea or right... More

CONS: 1)As the title says this hotel on the outside looks worn, tired....not very well maintained. 2). Management not very helpful.....Hotel was absolutely empty when we went... middle of the week ...since we decided to bring our children we asked how much for them to stay with us ....their response was almost as much as we paid for the room...(not... We spend a few days in the main house, the rooms are very small (about 16-20 sm), furniture ok, the balcony ridiculous (1 sm) u cannot really use it. Direct Beach access which was very comfortable but most of the resort is old and not very inviting. Please do not rate this hotel with a 4 star because it is... More
