We had a 1st floor room with huge balcony. Great for private sunbathing. Not so great if you want shade, but it suited me. Lovely large bright room. Huge bathroom. Got all expected amenities. 2 quiet pools, gorgeous gardens full of foliage plants, runs down to beach. Good breakfast choice. Can't fault it. Just 5 mins from centre where there... More

If you want to get away from the big resort and avoid big crowd this is the place. I would actually give 3.5 star but put 4 because of the staff. I was taken it back when i got there. I think I paid premium price since I did last minute booking. The front of the property around lobby area... More

The over all stay was fantastic but the staff are unbelievably great. The attention to detail was incredible. From remembering our names to surprising us with food that we had requested and enjoyed the previous day. It was outstanding service in every way. Peter, the restaurant manager was so wonderful. He put together a dinner on the beach for my... More

colonial style boutique hotel in centre of town on the beach. First The plus points. Beautiful setting in well kept tropical gardens. White pavilions dotted throughout the grounds, spotlessly clean, well equipped with a few exceptions. Couldn't say they were ultra modern, shabby chic in a positive way with lots of character. Mind you the curtains and cushions must have... More

Nice and cosy hotel area. Room was not like five star hotel, but good enough. Breakfast was served next to beach and it was ok, not the most perfect that I have seen. Check a short video from reception to the room we stayed for couple of days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFPOETv80AA

I stayed i night in a Garden Veranda room and 6 night in the Tamarind Studio. Both we clean and really well presented. I probably prefered the studio as it is newer and closer to the beach. This hotel is not a high rise and the walk through the gardens to get to your room is very peaceful. When I... More

I picked this resort because I was travelling alone and wanted a smaller hotel, and because the reviews were so good. I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful rooms, welcoming staff, good breakfast choices, two pools and a beach. Plus a superb location (2 mins to the main centre) and a super fast WIFI that worked everywhere. Little two storey white bungalows with... More

We stayed for 2 nights just after the New Year in the garden suite. Room was a nice size, with attached terrace - perfect for the morning cup of coffee or the evening glass of wine while taking in the nice gardens around. Our only observation in the room was lack of a chair or sofa - there was just... More

Baan Laksasuba has a long winding path through the property . No noise to speak of, yet everything in proximity (5-10 min walk to night market). - Colonial style whiteboard villas, on a winding vegetation covered path. Studio rooms have no view and nearer the beach & restaurant. - breakfast buffet station was very good for both Thai or Western... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2014

We stayed in this resort for two night in first week of December. We took a villa with 3 bedrooms for 6 people. The rooms are quite spacious and neatly kept, each having a separate balcony. They have two pools, one big pool surrounded by villas and another small one near the beach. Hotel breakfast is very good, with lot... More
