We'd made reservations at the Baan Bua Homestay but it was overbooked. So the owner brought us over to Baan Bua Guesthouse. Apparently, they're family-owned and related. The place has quite a nice garden. Centrally located. Near to the clock tower, the night market, the laundry. Very nice.

Stayed 2 nights in small basic room downstairs to side so it was quiet if a bit dark. Clean, good hot water and firm bed. Towels were good and thick. The bright green walls are a bit kitsch. Old worn chairs outside. The big plus of staying here is the quiet garden setting which is a relaxing escape to meet... More

-price and value is ok. -rooms are ok, we had outdoor shower area, attached to the room. -can be hot, especially upstairs.... -rooms downstairs are near living area: other guests talk and walls are thin... -helpful people, friendly. -it has a cosy look. -centrally located. -(dormitary is cheap, a lot of backpackers use this one) -ok place!

We arrive quite late, coming from Myanmar. The 450baht room was cheap but the bed turned put to be too hard, the pillow too high, and the bathroom sink broken ... The water came down from under the sink so your feet get totally wet. Luckily the (not clean) toilet did not have that problem :-) There is another place... More

We stayed here for three nights, the rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. The was a nice garden area but as it was wet season also quite a few Mosquitos. The guesthouse is in a good location and very close to the night market. Only downside was the wifi was only available in the rooms near... More

We stayed in this guest house for 3 nights in June 2014. The best thing about this place was the owner, who was the most welcoming, helpful and kind host during the whole of our 3 week trip in Asia. The rooms are basic, bed, fan, shower but good value for money. It is located down a quiet cul-de-sac and... More

The owner gave us a slight discount so we got a room with a double bed for 350 baht (I think they're usually 400 baht) and was kind enough to hold our bags for a few days while we went on a motorcycle trip. The garden is definitely a nice place to relax. The rooms are clean and adequate. However,... More

I stayed here for a month a few years ago and it was perfect. Great price (the owner gave me a discount as I was staying so long), fantastic calm garden (wear mozzie spray!), good breakfast and most importantly a perfect location - On Jedyot road, round the corner from the night market where they do a great green curry...
