This property is quite old. A little makeover will be good, unless if the management want to maintain the rustic feel. The rooms are okay but look quite worn out. First , we were allocated two rooms at the ground floor, but after my son found a centipede in the bathroom basin, we requested to be relocated to the upper... More

Charming and magnificent, this little 159 room combination of cottages on a pond with a tinkle of a waterfall, standard and superior rooms is quite a jewel. We had a standard room with a king sized and a twin bed. The room was quaint with a balcony, wood table and two chairs with a view of a corn field through... More

This is a very nice resort hotel in Chiang Rai. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We stayed at deluxe cottage room. The room is big and clean with a very big balcony. It is quiet and comfortable. Wifi connection was very good at the hotel premise. Hotel has a huge swimming pool but we did not have time... More

this is a very nice hotel. The staff is exceptionally accommodating greeting you with fresh fruit juice and being very mindful of your comfort, Beds a bit hard and internet spotty but well located for local attractions and good food

Having spent 3 nights at this retreat I can say what a treat. The staff met us upon arrival with a welcome fruit drink and immediately made us feel most welcome. We stayed in a deluxe cabin where complimentary water, juice, chips etc were waiting. The room was superb bordering on one of the lakes within the complex. Breakfast is either... More

I've visited Phowadol Resort since March 2014, we got an upgrade to Deluxe Cottage Room which is decor with wooden-floor and antique furniture. It quite close to Chiang Rai city (5 mins by car) please drive carefully because there are seldom public light posts along the way (main road to hotel). 10 Mins Drive to Mae Fah Laung International Airport... While the rooms were quite clean (but in need of a renovation) and the grounds well kept this resort is not worth the money. There is a 80BHT per person charge for transport to the city centre (60 by taxi) and everything is pay, pay, pay!!! Satellite tv is advertised but only 2 channels are available a German station &... Great pool, nice park, louzy restaurant and 10 mnts from city center. Nice rooms and great swimming pool but the restaurant service (restaurant located on the edge of the park area, outsiders can also eat there)... we were served without a smile (several times... now, that's normally unthinkable in Thailand where service is Always with a smile). Chiang Rai itself... More

We booked 3 nights here for a girls trip. After much of debate, we decided on this resort. The major influence on the decision was the pool. We called the resort to check on a triple room configuration and they offered a special rate. About 1200 bt cheaper than the Internet rate. Fantastic!!! We stayed one night and changed the... More

I stayed at this resort for a night with quite a large family members and got 4 small villas. I read quite a number of so-so reviews prior to arrival but nevertheless still gave this place a try-out. The stay here was pleasant and the upkeep of the resort is quite to my satisfaction. The place is clean, landscaping is... More
