I found the management here indifferent, the rooms over two levels were quite spread out, with a garden of sorts, but it was when my neighbours arrived in the room next door, that I realised how noisy it was. Luckily they had an early night, so bring earplugs. For the price and location, with a light breakfast included, it was... more

We stayed at the Golden Triangle Inn for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The rooms have AC and are clean. The beds are reasonable and the bathrooms have western style showers. In addition, it is walking distance to the night market and most of the Chiang Rai sights. Rates include breakfast and they have a travel agency that can... more

Though this place is indeed a little rundown, it is a reasonable place given price and location. We only spend 700B per night, which isn't a lot. In fact the rooms are clean, roomy and functional, the bed is alright, and the A/C functions. The bathroom was shabby but otherwise OK and clean. I have seen worse places for a... more

If possible: do not go to this hotel! Despite what the Lonely Planet suggests, it is not at all "like home" (unless if you live in a very sad place..). It is very run down, old and noisy. The room is outdated and dirty (bed sheets, walls, bathroom, everything). Ofcourse, 800B is not a lot of money, but in Chiang... more

We liked this hotel overall. The rooms were simply decorated and there was a pleasant garden. Just a short walk from the hotel to the night market. We also ate at the hotel restaurant one night and found the cooking was excellent. Price of the room was reasonable. One negative was that our bathroom needed to be repaired. I would... more

Low price with basic amenities. Shabby bathroom but the room and bathroom were both very clean. Doors and walls were very thin so did not sleep well for the 3 nights that I stayed here. Staff very friendly and helpful more

We chose this hotel mainly for it's close proximity to the night market and shops. The room we had was comfortable and clean. There was no noise at night and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has very few facilities, but was fine for a few nights. The breakfast was ok but nothing wonderful. Be warned, the staff here like... more

The rooms are clean and staff is okay, a bit noisy at night because you can actually hear other guest in their rooms. The walls are very thin, so no honeymoon here. Also around 5:30PM or 6 it gets very noisy because there is a park close by and there is an army of women doing aerobics w/ a very... more

The room was a bit run down. The air conditioner had only two settings (on or off) which made it hard to achieve a comfortable temperature. There were some mosquitoes in the room. But at 800 baht per night including breakfast, it was a good value. The breakfast was OK. Their affiliated travel agent, Golden Triangle Tours, arranged a hilltribe... more
