The adventure package we signed up for at the Legend gave our holiday a nice gentle start, nothing too strenuous. We arrived from Chiangmai around 1 plus, checked in and the superior room was exactly what it was on the web. The mosquito netting gave the beds and room a rustic feel. My son had an extra bed set up... More

We would highly recommend The Legend if you want a relaxing and romantic stay in Chiang Rai. It is reasonably priced and a beautiful property. The rooms are quaint with a porch or balcony. The bathroom is very exotic! The morning buffet was lovely. It is a bit of a walk out of the actual downtown area but completely do-able... More

We enjoyed our thee days in the Legend. Nice feel about the place, decent breakfast, quiet restaurant which we didn't try as too much to do and too many places to visit in town which were also cheaper. Good clean room and nice sitting area outside. Did not appreciate outside shower too much on cold mornings (or evenings) - would... More

Mid December I spent three nights at this hotel, I had chosen the standard room (double superior studio). I was attracted by this hotel by the beauty of its exterior aspect like the view on the Mae Kok river (we arrived by boat from Thaton directly at the pier of the hotel). When I discovered my bedroom, I was a... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to Laos. This was our first night on holiday after travelling from London via Bangkok to Chiang Rai. Arrived at 10am and the room was ready. The hotel was very peaceful and a great place to recover from jetlag. The rooms were large and comfortable with an outdoor area. The outdoor... More

On impulse we took an unplanned holiday in Thailand during the run-up to the holidays. As we are very familiar with the South and Bangkok we decided to explore the far north and the eastern seaboard for a change. We foolishly followed the advice of a colleague and let his travel agent friend arrange everything for us. Big mistake Our... More

Arrived here after freckling around some of north Thailand for a little while. Needed a nice couple of days break and this is the perfect place. Great setting, very friendly staff, great facilities, including two restaurants - the buffet at dinner was superb value. We had massages there which were excellent. The only minor comment and hence why not rated... More

Having stayed there over the last week-end I can only confirm the positive content of previous reviews. If you have to make a choice in Chiang Mai I would only say that even though it is smaller and may be less luxurious than Le Meridien located on the same river banks but on the other side of the Highway No... We were only here for one night - we arrived late afternoon and left early morning so didn't spend much time here. The hotel is nicely designed and the view from the pool is good. Our room was a good size and the outdoor shower was fun. This was a good option as a stop-over on our journey to Laos. More
