Went up to chaing rai for a few days from chaing mai. We did not book in advance. Found the hotel .its a old hotel but the price is good the beds are clean and quite comfortable. Not much noise. The breakfast is very good. Think it was about 32 pounds Per night. Yes it is not a top class... More

Wangcome is located in the heart of Chiang Rai, maybe 3 minutes walk to Clocktower close to many shops and restaurants. Only minutes walk also to Night Bazar. Nevertheless it is located in quite area with adequate free parking if you drive. It is roughly 6 Miles/ 9 KM from Chiang Rai airport. It is also a walking distance to... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a group tour. Its a huge hotel in a great location. Very close to night market and shop. Rooms are clean but need to be updated. Other people in our group heard phones ringing constantly throughout the night in the hallway. Thankly I did not. Breakfast was a decent... More

Stayed for one night. Very average hotel. However, breakfast is fairly good. Location is good but if possible don't take room facing the pubs. The hotel is located off the main road almost surrounded by massage parlours and bar. Noisy until 12 midnight.

The hotel was easy to find on Google Maps, with very good car parking amenities. It is a huge hotel, you can't miss it. It is a 5-7 minute walk from the night bazaar (and a 7-eleven) , and has bars, restaurants and massage places within 1 minute walk. Efficient check-in, and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and quite modern,... More

Stayed a few nights here. Rooms are old and a little tired. Bathrooms small and basic. Air con noisy. Pool is a little hard to access unless you walk through dining room. One night we had a kon tiki tour staying and they were very loud and ran around the place late at night. Breakfast was good and staff helpful.... More

With no reservations or street map of any sort, I stumbled upon the Wangcome Hotel in Chiang Rai, Thailand one rainy night. Luckily, they had vacancies and the price was quite reasonable if you stay of the second floor. My room was 900 baht a night or about $25 a night and it included breakfast. If you are looking for... Horrible ! Horrible staff, horrible attitude, room was poor, breakfast was trash. This hotel should be demolished with the front desk staff still inside. Would i return No ! We wanted a place downtown and the location was the only good thing about the wangcome.
