We used to live in Chiang Rai and were excited to spend a day at the Rimkok enjoying the pool and lunch. It was clear upon our arrival that the resort had not had much upkeep since we left 7 years ago. We started with lunch, which was a good buffet but overpriced at 179 baht. It seems that the... More

The hotel was clean & the breakfast was hot. The rooms were not bad & the staff were pleasant over all. The hotel is relatively well situated & you can walk around the area comfortably. I've stayed in worse hotels in North America. The wifi worked reliably. The bar was stocked.

When our tour visited Chiang Rai we stayed here for 2 nights. It locates on the bank of the river Kong. The buildings are local style. Room is clean but no wifi. The TV has no foreign languages channels. But we spent a lot of time around swimming pool. The front hall has wifi and in backyard we could see... More

Cozy hotel located on the banks of tributary of the river Mekong at some distance from the city. The city is located near the Laos, Myanmar, connects them the Mekong River. Service is at very high level. Thai kitchen admirable for its diversity. The Fah Luang Gardens, White Temple are very interesting places. The quality of roads, buses are very... More

This expansive resort on lovely grounds may have been a beauty in her day. But there has clearly been no TLC in decades. Chipped tile, moldy bathrooms, out dated everything in both rooms and lobby. Lots of tourists here and decent breakfast, but the hotel is dilapidated.

We are pretty well traveled and usually let a lot slide. But, we couldn't believe how rundown this hotel is. It seems like it might have been beautiful at one point, but this grand lady has been rode hard and put away wet! It seems like it a tour hotel for the Chinese groups. So, if you happen to be... After reading alot of reviews I was a bit wary of our stay. Well yes it is dated but was clean. Beautiful grounds surround this resort so a stroll is in order. The pool area was clean and tidy but once again in need of a freshen up. Wifi service was excellent all over the resort and breakfast was good.... More

Large resort out of town has pool and all amenities. Rooms desprately need renovation they are old and bathrooms are very shabby. Or should i say well worn but not worn well. Broken tiles and mould. Great staff but not great hotel. Not on my favorites list wont stay there again.

If you were looking to invest in a hotel and turn it around, this would be the one. The position is great, on the river bank just north of the city and the grounds are large. But...the hotel itself is just run down. It looks about 10 years past it's best. The rooms are jaded, dirty almost. The hot water... More

We had to complain on four separate occasions regarding the lukewarm water in the bathroom. Two plumbers were dispatched following the fourth complaint. They ran the tap over the bath and nodded as if to say that it was all right ( it was barely lukewarm actually) and then they told me "This hotel does not have hot water -... More
