Really nice place. We were 4 and stayed in the familly room (this room has a private bathroom). Beautiful colours of the house ;) And the location is perfect: not far from the center but in a quiet area. The breakfast is average...

We were tired. We needed a shower. We needed laundry done. We wanted to sleep someplace where the walls were solid. Baan Bua was the perfect and inexpensive place to gather ourselves after an adventure in Laos and rejoin the rest of the world. Very conveniently located near the night market, there were lots of services in the area to... More

Baan Bua Homestay served as an ideal budget-friendly base from which my fiancée and I were able to explore Chiang Rai and surrounding areas. Rooms are compact but clean and comfortable with a private bathroom, albeit outside but covered. Something different and not a problem. Limited food menu but take a walk to intersection with the clock tower and check... More

Firstly it's important to know the there are two properties in Chiang Rai called Baan Bua. They are close to each other but still a bit of a walk if you end up at the wrong one like we did! This review is for Baan Bua Homestay so don't go to Ban Bua Guesthouse and if you do any tours... More

We were staying one night in this homestay. We stayed on room four. We could hear every word of our Australian neighboor. The shower and toilet are outside and this is okay. However when the temperature is below 12 in the night, it becomes a reason not to use the shower. For 650 baht a night without breakfast... We saw... More

The gentleman at reception was extremely helpful and friendly on our arrival. He pointed out things to see and told us how we could get to the white temple. The rooms were basic but clean and had towels and small bottles of water. The bathroom was private but wasn't en suite which wasn't ideal but not a huge deal. Also,... More

I am not usually attracted to staying in authentic thai lodging especially if it is in the heart of the city. This particular inn is in a location that has hotels ranging from 2 - 5 stars and the entire community is practically engaged in catering to the needs of the tourists. One thing I liked about this place is... More

Stayed there for 3 nights, the first night we had room nr. 2. There was a bad smell coming from the airco, after complaining we got a room upstairs. The staff is friendly and the outdoor seating area is a nice place to chat with the other guests. The guesthouse arranged a good daytrip for us for a very reasonable... More

I WENT as a solo traveller...found it through booking.com. Booked a shared dorm room...3 beds...the 3rd one was empty for one night out of 2...so perfect! The bathroom is just outside...the sad thing is that it is just full of mosquitos :-(...mosquitos net are obviously provided. One bad thing is that there are fans jnside the room, but there is... A quiet little guesthouse within walking distance of everthing. The garden is lovely and it's really nice to sit in the shade and enjoy the peace of the place. The owner is very nice and helpful and the staff very friendly and always willing to chat. The room was nice and clean, I really enjoyed my stay.
