We spent one night in Baan Bui Homestay. First of all, do not confuse it with the Baan Bui Guest House who is located at 500m. Moreover the staff speak a very limited english) There are no indications to arrive until the Baan Bui Homestay, we spent one hour to found it. To help future visitors, it is locate in... More

Stayed 2 nights with my family. This is a traditional Thai wooden house with charm, character and good communal space. However wooden floors and walls also mean it is very noisy, especially on the ground floor. The reception staff were helpful when they were there but we, and others, were often looking for assistance from staff who had disappeared from... More

The guest house was picked up from the reviews here, due to the gardens atmosphere and the cosy looking style. But to be honest we didn't use the outdoor area. Meal are just OK, because by walking 100m on the main road to the left you get cheaper good meals. Rooms are spacious, no aircon in ours, hot water, extra... More

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this cute, quirky little place... We didn't have high expectations as the price for the night was so cheap! The owner rushed out to our tuktuk and paid for it as we didn't have change... We had a room with 3 single beds, really clean, bright and spacey. The bathroom was lovely... More

Really enjoyed this place. For what you pay, the rooms are clean and cheerful and the staff helpful, always offering to clean our rooms. We ordered breakfast one morning which wasn't the best, but we would recommend ABC Café around the corner - turn down the street opposite the entrance to Wat Jed Yod and it's on the right hand... I was there while visiting the Chiang Rai area alone, and I was expecting a real homestay. We were at least 6 other backpackers in two separate rooms, and the family experience was not there. Apart from that, if you are just looking for a regular guest house can be an option. Probably you can try to fins other places,... More

Really nice place. We were 4 and stayed in the familly room (this room has a private bathroom). Beautiful colours of the house ;) And the location is perfect: not far from the center but in a quiet area. The breakfast is average...

We were tired. We needed a shower. We needed laundry done. We wanted to sleep someplace where the walls were solid. Baan Bua was the perfect and inexpensive place to gather ourselves after an adventure in Laos and rejoin the rest of the world. Very conveniently located near the night market, there were lots of services in the area to... More

Baan Bua Homestay served as an ideal budget-friendly base from which my fiancée and I were able to explore Chiang Rai and surrounding areas. Rooms are compact but clean and comfortable with a private bathroom, albeit outside but covered. Something different and not a problem. Limited food menu but take a walk to intersection with the clock tower and check... More
