I wouldn't call this a resort it's more like a nice motel. The room was spacious and clean and bright with a great shower. Check in was easy but not extremely friendly. I usually look at reviews to make sure the hotel is quiet as I'm a very light sleeper. Unfortunately I could hear our neighbors every move. Eg every... More

I will just list down the pro and the con. Pro: 1) The cleanest room i had ever stayed with sufficient amenities. 2) Walking distances to groceries shop and eateries. Got one nice Chinese food restaurant beside the river with nice view within 500 meter walk. 3) Friendly local and host. Con: 1) Far from town area. Taxi or own... More

This is a small (20 rooms) unpretentious, well-run and value for money resort. Rooms are spacious. Khun Tong and his staff give helpful, friendly and flexible good service. The break-fast is. tasty, cooked to order, with fruits, fresh-ground coffee and dessert. Definitely worth staying if you a looking for a quiet, clean and value for money place to stay in... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the clean and quiet environment this rather new hotel is located in. The rooms are very spacious, bright and clean with minibar, safe and television. The garden surrounding the individual 'villa rooms' is very well maintained and pleasant to sit in after a hectic sightseeing day. Breakfast choice served in the breakfast room next... More

Amarin resort is situated on opposite of the expressway from the old Chiang rai city. It is more serene and less crowded. Amarin is also situated within walking distance of LuLum restaurant which offers authentic northern Thai food at reasonable prices and also LeelaWadee which is a more upscale restaurant. It is suitable if you drove. There is sufficient parking.... More

We spent 5 nights here and thought it was perfect. Slightly colonial feel to the design with individual and linked bungalows around a central planted courtyard. This is a quiet location, close to the river where there are some good restaurants within 2-3 minutes walk. But the town centre is also easily accessible by tuk-tuk or meter taxi (circa 80... More

We have spent a couple of weekends here. We have enjoyed each stay. The staff are kind and helpful. They speak English a bit, too. We had no difficulty with our rooms. The rooms are quite large with adequate space to sit other than on the bed. They have a nice bench outside which enables one to enjoy the ambiance... More

We were fortunate to stay for 6 nights and loved it! Very clean, very attractive decor a friendly helpful staff. Tours were easy to arrange although lack of English was a problem. But loads of goodwill made our stay very enjoyable. The grounds are green, well cared for and help to provide a relaxed ambience.

We really enjoyed our stay in this simple but lovely resort in Chiang Rai. Room / Villa was comfortable for the 3 of us but what made the difference was the service. We had good advice from manager on where to go for good northern Thai food, he found us a good guide/driver for discovering the area. Very good value... More
