I and my friends decided to have a weekend trip at Chiang Rai, so we booked the flight and a guesthouse online right away. At first, I didn’t pay much attention on the guesthouse but when I got to the place, I was really surprised because the guesthouse was exotic. Ben guesthouse is a Lanna-Thai style wood guesthouse. All of... More

Bit of a long story (we were still on our bangkok scam) but we ended up here for three nights. We were supposed to go back to Chang Mai but the lovely manager helped me to contact the scammers and crisis was averted. I know people always says this but she really did go above and beyond to help us... More

Only stayed one night at Ben's but had a great stay. The rooms are nice and spacious and are really good value for money. Wifi is free and of excellent quality. Staff are all so friendly and happy to help with anything. The location is ok. About a 10 -15 minute walk to town but it's wonderfully quiet. Only things... More

We stayed in the new part of the hotel and it was very sterile and boring, but it was clean and comfortable. I would have preferred the older part , they looked so much nicer from the outside, but after reading the reviews I am glad we were in the new part. Breakfast at the restaurant there was very slow... I wasn't a big fan of Ben Guesthouse. My room was small, dark and had ants in the bathroom. During daytime I couldn't really open the curtains to get some light in because from outside you can stare right in. At night you can hear everything - dogs barking, kids screaming, an alarm clock that nobody switches off. I have... More

A cute place; however... Beds are hard as a rock. At night it gets VERY cold. They'll give you another blanket- ask for 2. A nearby rooster will crow at about 4-7am non-stop. Do NOT have them do your laundry!!! Food is ok but Jansupar around corner is far superior for same price. Hotel patrons smoke a lot, so -Beware,... More

We had a great stay here. The guesthouse is clean, quiet and the pool is a huge added bonus. The staff are helpful and nothing is too much trouble. It is close to the centre of town so it's easy to walk to everything and they have bikes you can rent really cheaply. Would stay here again.

The rooms are nice and the staff very friendly: that makes you feel like at home! Here you can rent bicycles and scuters or you can relax in the swimming pool. The food is delicious and cheap: we ate there at breakfast and dinner and in both cases in the end we were full and happy!

We had only 1 night to spend in Chaing Rai but would have gladly stayed another night at this basic but friendly guesthouse. It was a bit noisy because the walls were paper thin but that was the only minus. The swimmingpool was great
