... but the rest is totally substandard. - unpleasant front desk reception - my shower didn't work and the management didn't fix this properly. They asked me to shower in another room on another floor - tiny rooms with primitive bathroom - extremely hard mattress Hotels are ubiquitous in Chiangrai, and the Jedyod Rd area is no exception. I can't... More

we had a really nice stay there, the rooms are small but comfortable, with view over the streets outside and own bath, everything was clean. the rooms are cheap (300-350 Bath/night/double room) the atmosphere in the hostel is very friendly and they have delicious fresh baked bread for breakfast there (my favorite: the whole grain bread)

We chose this based on the Rough Guide listing. Rooms were actually 280/350 baht for fan/AC. Our room was old and small but okay for the cheaper price - however, the wifi never worked. The staff were nice but not helpful with this issue and we ended up spending a lot more money for wifi at cafes. The next morning... More

Warm welcome and friendly staff. Quiet place. Cleans rooms with good beds and sweet duvet. Thanks to the boss for the happy new year magic for the dinner and the launch lanterns who was very magic and emotional.

Stayed for two nights in a double with fan for 350baht a night. We felt welcomed by the staff who gave us a map, free water and fresh towels each day. The room was clean, good shower pressure, excellent bed/pillow and was quiet! The location is very central, close to all the beaut markets AND, since it's also a bakery,... More

Ive stayed here twice while passing through Chiang Rai. I like its location... 5-10 minute walk to everything. It has always been very clean. The staff consists of shy girls who dont speak much english, but are very interested in helping. And an older lady, who at first seemed unfriendly, ended up going greay out of her way to ensure... A bit of a mixed bag this one; the location is good an the rooms are basic but clean. The shower was very wry good; hot and powerful. The reception, hallways and stairways were filthy though with smokers ash; cigarette butts an junk everywhere. I paid 300 baht for a 3rd floor double room which represents average clue in my... This place is super cheap, very well located and has excellent bread, and well priced menu of western sandwiches and breakfasts. The staff are smiley, but not very chatty, so you must ask for information if you want it. The rooms are very basic but match the cost. Hot water and good wifi here, unless its raining then power cuts,... More

Great place for a few nights. Small clean rooms with shower and ac. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the icing on the cake (literally) is the in house bakery with its fantastic croissants, apple pies and coffee. Local dogs are a bit noisy in the morning but nothing earplugs can't sort out. Highly recommended for budget travellers
