This place is a long walk from the town centre, the staff treat you like an inconvenience, the rooms are dull, stuffy and hot, the pool is unusable and only good for breeding mosquitos. Do yourself a favour and head to Grandma Keows instead.

Very mediocre, bland hotel. Breakfasts very poor and the same every day. Pool looks good only on the pictures. It is actually rather large tub with no room for deck chairs and strongly neglected. It's full of all sorts of fuzzies, and the sides are greasy. All of that did not encourage to use this pool. Do not get fooled... More

Booked this as appeared as a lonely planet recommended hotel. Overpriced, 550baht for fan room, hot during day cold at night, noise from road. Could not open shutters to let air in due to mossie screens in need of repair. Bathroom mouldy with dangerous extractor fan plug at shower level. Room was not cleaned or made up. Breakfast included-- banana,... More

I stayed at Lek House for 3 nights in January 2014 having pre booked through Agoda for nearly 600 baht per night for a fan room once all the taxes and fees were added. Location was fine as was the included breakfast. Just a shame that the bathroom was covered in mould, fittings in the room falling apart and staff... More

The place was not easy to find from a car due to the traffic in the main street. The first night we got a room with dirty bed sheets and floor, without windows, but with poisonous centipedes included... The 3 other nights we got a "better" room with windows and high ceiling, and the toilet and shower open in the... More

Was able to get 2 nights much needed sleep in a quiet, clean room free of insects and with a comfortable bed. Opted for the cheaper fan room and as the climate is relatively mild here this was perfect. Breakfast was basic: egg on toast and a banana with some rather watery coffee, but included in the price. Served from... More

Most people visiting Chiang Rai only stay for a few days, alike me and my boyfriend who stayed here for one night at the end of October 2013. The rooms are all clean and modernly decorated. Although warning for those that are staying together and are not close..the toilet and shower are both Open plan! So as long as you... More

We stayed one night and would have stayed more if there was more to see in Chiang Rai. Really simple hotel, excellent service and secure. Perfect for a short stay. Bathrooms were nice, bed comfy and a pleasant night sleep. Good wifi, standard breakfast and all in all a good stay.

Room was cozy n clean and common balcony lunge upstairs was comfortable with cool breeze! also I sat infront of the hotel overlooking a little lake, reading a book in the afternoon. We stayed here for two nights and the room itself was great- very clean and one of the better decorated and bigger rooms we had in Thailand! Such a relief that the bathroom wasn't a wet-room, but it was very bizarre. The toilet and shower were both separated from the room by only a short wall on one side so... More
