We were originally going to stay in the Princess Park hotel in Surat Thani on our way in and out. After we had checked in to Princess, we were walking to dinner and saw this place, which looked much much better. And, although double the price of princess, it was much better for my family (2A,2K) as the family room... More

I currently live in the dump that is Surat Thani, so compared to everything else in this town, this is for sure a step up. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary because we didn't have time to go out of town. We were impressed with the lobby, but the staff were something else. I've learned that Thai... More

Do not attempt to arrange a car pick-up with them. You can survive a night here if you manage a room without mosquitos (or can kill them). Leave your bags at the reception and check out and choose your room first. More

Not sure why it calls itself a resort. Pretty standard hotel IMHO. There is no beach within walking distance nor any sights worth mentioning. Only stayed one night on the way to vietnam by car. Positives include ample parking space, a big tesco opposite and reasonably clean massage facilities on site. More

A grand Thai style hotel. No complaints except the mustiness of the room. Obviously the floods have affected this place and they haven't aired the rooms out enough to combat this. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive but we couldn't really communicate our room service order. Probably just a language barrier over the phone. Nowhere else to eat here though because... More

Spent one night herein April. Reasonable rates starting at 770 baht for a double room. I opted for a first floor room with balcony overlooking the pool for 1000. This hotel is situated on the bypass opposite Tesco Lotus. It has a large carpark, a grand foyer with awide sweeping staircase to the upper floors. The first thing you notice... More

Stayed here on the way to Koh Samui but would recommend that, if you can, go direct to Koh Samui. Surathani is not an interesting place. We paid 1000THB to stay in a 'Cubana' room (ground floor). While appearing to be good value, there were problems. The room was dark and smelt of damp and stale cigarette smoke. Mosquitoes came... More

Not many travellers need to stay in Surat Thani, but if you do, this is probably the best place to stay. It's out of town so it's a lot quieter. It has a lovely resort feel to it with a fantastic little pool set in the middle of the hotel with trees around it. The staff were really helpful and... More

The 100 Islands Resort & Spa in Surat Thani is actually quite an ok place, paying 590 THB for a twin share-the cheap stingy person in me felt alive. The main exterior building resembles a wooden mansion of sorts & is far from the plain concrete structures that are aplenty in overcrowded towns. The reception girls were pretty enough..i mean,...
