Located in a quiet part of town close to our bus station we enjoyed our family room stay. The room was very large & clean, allowing things to be spread out without tripping over luggage etc. The air-conditioning worked well but the old CRT TV had broken AV connections on the rear so Mr 11yo wasn't impressed - no DVD... While I am a true believer in the Rough Guide travel model, I must disagree with their assessment of Surat Thani. We overnighted in Surat Thani on the way to the islands and expected a dreary overnight as the Rough Guide suggested ('uninspiring'). While our quest for a hotel began a bit drearily with the usual commissioned songthaew gambit, a... More

Yes, it's the case... The One Hotel is fully suitable for a one night stay before heading over to Koh Samui. It is clean, and fresh with all-functional facilities. The room was large, but less then spectacular, with décor updated recently. The staff is friendly and helpful, but do not speak very good English (however, I don't speak Thai so... More

We statyed only one night in this hotel. From outside it looks like a modern place but actually is a bit outdated. stinky bathroom, especially because drain from separate sink flushes out in shower place. Restaurant downstairs prepares only mediocre Thai food. Pros: comfy mattress, breakfast quite ok, 450 metres away from bus station. I wouldn't recommend it as price... More

it's a new hotel and the rooms are big and clean. comes with breakfast. location is about a 10 minute walk away from the Downtown Hub. which is where you'll find a night street market with loads of great thai food. the spa at the hotel nothing to shout about, give it a miss. otherwise good place to stay while... For 650 Baht (or 850 with breakfast buffet) you cannot expect five star ambience. But if you only need a bed for the night, maybe to catch the next plane or ferry next day, this is recommendable. The service was very good: Attentive, friendly and helpful. E.g. we needed a mouse for our notebook and got one free of charge... More

Arrived there by taxi and was super tired but first greeting made our group felt really relax. The room are clean with the king size bed and it was so comfortable. Little smell from the bathroom and the drain was working not so well. It's a little bit annoying because of Karaoke they have at hotels that go one all... More

arrived by taxi, a long drive from the airport, about 500 baht. pleasant hotel, good clean room. staff helpful but unable to direct us to center, told us we would need a taxi but it was only 15 mins walk and the bus station even closer, walked there with our luggage. only complaint was the breakfast, they said you had... The One Hotel is suitable for a one night stay before heading over to Koh Samui. It is clean, but dated. The room was large, but less then spectacular, with décor leftover from the 80's. The staff was friendly and helpful, but did not speak very good English. Dinner in the restaurant was decent, but the breakfast was just passable.... More

On a recent cycling trip, my buddy and I stayed two nights at The One hotel in Surat Thani. It was not cheap as some have stated in other reviews, as we paid 890 baht (about $28 USD) per night including breakfast. The room was nice, good AC, no English stations on Sat TV, bed was comfortable. Several things really... More
