We have been there and decided to leave after two days. First of all the resort is quite far away from anything so you won't have the choice for restaurants or bars. The taxi ride there is 500b or less if you negotiate with the taxi mafia... We had a bungalow for 1500 including dirty bed sheets, dirty floors (cockroach..... More

The Bungalow is very easy, but has all you need: a bed with a Moskito net, a shelf and table with chairs. The toilet is in a traditional style without flush, but with water in a bowl - which I think is the cleaner way here. The shower is cold, but is has 30 degree Celcius all the Time, thus... More

We spent a week there in July-August 2013, it was just perfect. The family welcomed us and it was great to hang out in the restaurant overlooking Ao Leuk Bay. I have fond memories of the owner who was very helpful and his children who played with my daughter. Great stay!

This was an amazing place and just what we were looking for in a budget place with great views and beach access. The rooms were very basic and nothing special but the setting is what sold us. We enjoyed the food and variety and ate pretty much every meal here. The beach was just a step away and great for... More

Quiet little beach for those looking to escape the crowds, the bungalows are nice and big with beautiful views, and hammocks on the verandah. They're probably a bit overpriced (we paid 1300) for what they are, I've stayed in similar for 600 baht on phagnan. The bathrooms have open windows with spectacular views of the ocean (nothing like a good... More

We booked for 4 nights at the beginning of July, ended up staying only 1 and that was to much. we had booked one of the new more expensive rooms 200bt per night, it was less than basic, no furniture whatsoever other than the bed, no where to hang your clothes or put your belongings, there where no chairs on... The bungalows are roomy, the bathroom is clean with the standard cold shower but no mosquito mesh to cover the open window, so be prepared with mosquito coil and repellent. We had a spacious terrace with two chairs and a table, cushions and a hammock. The bungalows are on a hillside overlooking the bay of Aow Leuk, and they have... More

We had a very pleasant stay at this resort and during 3 nights we found hardly anything to complain about. Our bungalow (No. 2) had an awesome view over Aow Leuk Bay. The hut itself looked rather new, with large glass fronts to the balcony, curtains and wooden interior. Almost romantic. Apart from that everything was kept simple: only fans... More

We stayed at Aow Luek II for 3 nights. It was an absolutely beautiful bay with very clear aqua water. The reefs on either side were great snorkeling. Most of the sand was made up of little rocks, which was fine to lay on with a towel, did have some nice soft sand near the water. Very secluded beach not... More

Visting Koh Tao off season we expected it to still be quite busy. But Ao Leuk bay was like a haven! Hardly anyone staying in the bay itself - maybe 14 people at the most - and not that many visitors during the day. Most of the folks visiting the island seemed more interested in scuba, so we were left... More
