We stayed at the Khao Lak Resort for 3 nights in December 2007. The room we had booked was a superior room and was quite frankly depressing. Khaolak was one of the main centres descimated by the Tsunami, the resort is now back on its feet. In Khaolak village there are restaurants, supermarkets, tour offices etc which cater to all the needs of the tourist.
