You get a sense that with this hotel its all about a business and lacks a personal touch, a few improvements could make the place so much better. -All the rooms are dark with not much lighting. -Not cleaned properly, leftover food was not removed. Even after we called and asked them to clear it, they only moved it to... More

Situated on Sunset Beach and with only 34 rooms, the Wanaburee Resort has a quiet and intimate atmosphere, which seems to appeal more to older couples. Rooms are comfortable and spacious but interiors rather drab. Good buffet breakfast with attentive and friendly staff. Small improvements would greatly enhance the overall appeal of this hotel like repairing the walkway from reception... More

On finding a great rate to fly to Thailand over the holiday period, I really struggled to find a laid back small hotel until this was recommended to me. I totally understand why people keep going back. The staff is friendly, there's only 35 rooms, so the feeling is quite intimate, the food is really good, and the bungalows are... More

Wanaburee is a nice resort by the beach. It has lots of potential, but some of that is lost. The rooms are big, nice and comfortable and the staff is great and friendly. Very welcoming. But there are some maintenance issues around the resort. All the other resorts around cleaned the beach every day, but the beach in front of... More

I just had a perfect time in this Resort and it could not be better. The stuff is very nice and is doing a great job. Everybody is friendly and helpful and makes your stay there a pleasure. My room was very clean, big and comfortable. The owners must have a sensitivity for architecture, so the resort is well integrated... More

This is a 3 star not a 4 star resort. We did not like the hotel when we first arrived. For one we were expecting a 4 star facility. It's an old hotel that has fallen behind the times. At the end of our stay we did find it relaxing and very peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful. We... More

The rooms are outdated, but okay. It's nice that there is a porch. I wouldn't have stayed on the beach because it seems less private, but if I did, I would opt for something on the left side, furthest from the restaurant and beach that is more crowded. No garbage on the beach and less crowded in Khao Lak than... More

Whilst we stayed next door to this resort, we did pop over a couple of times and have lunch staff were very welcoming, and food was of a very good standard, and similar in price to the other hotels in the area. The new beach front rooms/villas looked nice, but pool was very small. It is on the beach, so... More

We stumbled across Wanaburee after deciding to move from the busier Khao Lak resort next door due to noisy children in the rooms around us at night. We were after a more romantic, peaceful experience and Wanaburee ticked all the boxes for us. The resort is a beautiful jungle retreat with abundant wildlife, a small lagoon and well placed estates/bungalows.... More

Overall, very good. All staffs was very very nice, some of them don't understand english but it did not bother me. Nice buffet breakfast. I stayed 2 nights in Estate Room top floor. Wish i could stay longer. Only wifi signal was poor from my room. In front of the beach, beach bar, massage, got everything to offer.
