We booked 2 Vouchers, each 3 nights at the JW Mariott, which included accommodation, breakfasts, 2 x 1 hr massages, and 50% contriubution to the return fare to Phuket airport. The fare was quoted as 1500 Bhat ( each way) approxately 50 Australian Dollars. The Hotel is a 1.5 hour ride from the airport! Theoretically the hotel should have repaid... More

I have stayed at more than 20 Marriotts of various Marriott brands, and I now have met the worst. In terms of hardware, it is below average (yes, it's better than some of the Courtyards, but for the price?!). In terms of service, it is at the bottom. Go to the new Renaissance Phuket or the not-as-new JW in Phuket.... More

I spent a few days at this resort in May 2012. Needed to get away and this was the perfect spot. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Your spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. I think they have like 5-6 options plus a great bakery and a bar in the main building. The spa was the... More

This resort takes about 1.5 hours by car from the Phuket airport, but is well worth the drive. The property is amazing, and all the pools are unlike anything I've ever seen before. It was like we had the resort to ourselves at times. If booking a package, make sure to include the breakfast as it has a lot of... More

Highly recommend to those who love pool swimming, nice beach, and big peaceful gardens. Although it is located in a very small town without shopping malls, you would never be bored due to the attractions of all in house activities such as cycling to see waterfall, beach yoga and Thai boxing class which are free for hotel guests. I am... More

A beautiful resort with amazing staff and service. It's not in the hustle and bustle of Phuket town but it's still such an experience. There is a little village just outside the resort in the beach and the Thai massage was brilliant (and extremely cheap). The buffet breakfast is tremendous and we ate in a couple of the restaurants inside... More

We (my husband and 11 year old son) stayed for 6 nights from July 1 to July 6. Overall, we loved the Marriott, the grounds and pools are unbeatable and super clean. There is an army of staff continually working to maintain the gardens and the buildings. The Thai staff are fantastic, the breakfast is excellent and has everything you... More

We have stayed there for 4 nights. The pool access room is great if you are with kids. The bathroom facilities are a little bit old with stains. Breakfasts are excellent with so many choices. Quan Spa is a must to go, nice rooms with professional staff. It is a hotel worth staying again and again.

Rather than reiterate all the good points that so many other travellers have made, if you are looking for a relaxing, luxurious holiday - go no further. No complaints, no faults. It is true testament to the Thai people that they have recovered so quickly after the Tsunami. For all those whingers, just remember many of the locals/staff have lost... More

My boyfriend and i stayed at the JW MARRIOTT KHAO LAK for a 1 week last month. This place is seriously amazing. We were picked up from our other accomodation in Patong by the Mariott and the amazing service started from there. On arrival we were greatest by a lovely girl called Job who went through some details with us... More
