The hotell is located just 5 minutes from Bang Niang where there is a market every monday, wednesday and saturday (14:00-19:00). Here you can find everything from beachware to thaicrafts to thaifood. Its cheaper here than in Khao Lak.
Khao Lak is about 10 minutes from the hotell with a taxi.. Drinks and food can be bought att the resturants....

The Andamania once was - and could easily be again - a simply wonderful hotel. I am not sure of its history or the impact the tsunami had on its fortunes but from what we saw, this hotel is a shadow of its former self.
