This is a beautiful, bumpy and winding road to an Arusha garden. The staff welcomed and accommodated me with attention and information. I was assisted to make arrangements for a taxi-guide on my arrival day. Beautiful and luxurious rooms,

Staff was very friendly, food was good, and compared to the rest of the places in Arusha the location is awesome. It's away from the city center up on a hillside with nice views of the surrounding area especially from the bar above the restaurant. Each bungalow is self contained has a hot water shower, toilet/sink, and balcony. Lots of... More

This place is simply paradise. The people are so nice, food is beyond great, everything is neat and clean. There's hot running water all the time (when you're in Tanzania it's important) and free wi-fi. I had a perfect time at Karama Lodge, will definitely come back again.

We enjoyed one night in this lodge after our safari and before leaving from Kilimanjaro airport. The rooms itself are relatively basic and a bit too small to move around. However, the view from the nice balcony and the location and general set up of the lodges do make up for anything in the cabin that could be a bit... More

The Karama lodge made us feel like we were out in the wild (you could hear every sound, feel like you're in a tent) with running water and electricity. The view from the bar is spectacular, but I would recommend this as more of a couples' get-away than a family or group spot. Each room is secluded with it's own... More

This lodge was our introduction to lodge accommodation before our Serengetti adventure. We thought it was an attractive location in the trees, with both the common areas (lounge and dining room) and individual rooms being of a high standard. Each cabin had a sizeable balcony area looking out to the hills opposite. The layout of our cabin was a bit... More

I spent one night here before heading out on a safari tour. It is slightly away from town in a quiet spot on a hill. The individual cabins are cute and comfortable. It is nothing too fancy, but very nice and all have a small balcony. The natural sounds were lovely to fall asleep and wake up to. The bed... More

We stayed here for three nights during June. The layout is stunning; it was lovely having our own individual cabin. The décor is lovely and characterful, with organic home made shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms. The restaurant meals were good, if a little limited in choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. It felt like somewhere very different and... More

I spent a night at Karama Lodge with some friends in June. It was lovely to get away from day to day life in Arusha. The meals were great, and the cabins had a lot of personality - my bed was very comfortable too. It was cold - if you are planning of staying in June/July bring warm clothes.

Karama Lodge is up on a hillside in what feels like you're "out of town", but it really is close enough to everything we needed in Arusha, yet VERY quiet and secluded from the hustle-bustle of the city. This place is a gem, landscaping-wise, but even more so due to the care from the staff. Every member of the staff,... More
