Our family of 6 stayed here for 4 nights prior to going on safari as well as 4 nights afterwards. For this reason we felt like we really knew the place well and if felt like our 'home away from home'. Karama Lodge is a beautiful looking rustic lodge located in a stunning setting on the outskirts of of Arusha.... More

This was our last night at the end of our safari before returning home. The lodge is located on the outskirts of Arusha inside a lush garden. The rooms consist of small wooden houses with a nice view on the valley below. We found the room to be quite basic, but perfectly fine for a short stay. We loved the... More

We stayed at Karama Lodge & Spa for a day before we hiked Kilimanjaro and a day after we finished the trek. What a lovely place! I loved the comfortable beds, friendly & helpful staff & yummy food & drinks! We enjoyed playing cards in the lounge and sitting by the pool and watching monkeys in the trees. The only... More

Arriving in Arusha from western Canada, a very long journey, we loved this rustic lodge. Would suggest people ask for a larger cabin as the smaller ones are a little too small for a couple. Although the lodge is high in the Suye Hills facing Mt. Kilimanjaro, we didn't see the mountain as it was covered in cloud!. The cabins... More

We got the most wonderful welcome for our morning arrival and after our long flights this, and the fabulously comfortable beds, were well received! The food was fab, the central bar/restaurant building just fantastic and staff were eager to help us lean a little swahili and share their recommendations for the great food. We enjoyed wandering the peaceful and beautiful... More

We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of our holiday, the room was quite small for a family of 4 (kids ages 2 and 3) but we didn't spend much time there, so it was fine. The food was fantastic and the lodge surrounds very pretty, the lodge itself is nicely designed with lots of interesting touches. I loved... More

I really struggled with this rating. We spent 2 nights here before our safari and three nights after.. The grounds are.stunning, pool is sparkling clean and our cabin was roomy , clean and functional. You are surrounded by lush natural beauty everywhere. Hot water was only a problem one morning but otherwise was great. The deck outside the room is... More

In late July my daughter and I spent one night here ~ although quite the drive from the Arusha airport it was certainly worth it. Clean and comfortable lodge with awesome views ~ great breakfast buffet the next morning and very friendly and accommodating staff. A wonderful "first night in Africa" experience!

Stayed here before and after my Kilimanjaro climb. I admit the road to get there is quite rough and the place is a bit out of town but it is africa in its essence. Food is fantastic, the views are incredible, its super relaxing all the staff are friendly. Will always stay there.
