We climbed Mt. Kilamanjaro with Nat Geo/Mountain Travel. After a week without bathing and 2 days of descending the Mt, we arrived at the DikDik to stay overnight before departing on the Safari portion of the trip. Needless to say, the hotel - with its comfy beds and hot hot showers - was a welcome respite. Good service, our New... More

The only issue is its distance from Arusha airport. Nevertheless it is the best place to stay after a grueling hike up mount Kilimanjaro. It has a nice pool to unwind. The service is very good. I had to skip the breakfast as I had an early morning flight. But the receptionist was kind enough to prepare a hot black... More

We travelled for 20 hours to rest overnight here before our Safari. What a gem!! A green and flowery Oasis in a beautiful part of Africa The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was clean and well appointed. The pool although chilly after the 30degree temp was bliss. The food was the best that we ate whilst we were... More

I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that the food in the restaurant comes from the garden of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food is great and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. They also have a viewing towers which in a good cloud-free day can give you access to nice views of Meru and Kilimanjaro.

Dik Dik is a great stopover point at the beginning or end of your trip as it is near Kilimanjaro Airport. We arrived very late on the KLM flight and the staff kept the dining room open for us and served us a lovely dinner. We booked a day trip to Arusha National Park through the lodge and we had... More

We arrived in the evening to the full staff at entrance to welcome us. They helped us to our rooms and then we had a late dinner that was very good. The pool is in a beautifully landscaped garden and very serene. Monkeys scampered above in the trees and on the roofs, but nights were very quiet and easy to... More

Stayed here after arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport before heading off for our safari. The hotel is located a bit off the road, not really close to anything else. We did not have any expectations on the hotel since it was just a stop inbetween but were positively surprised to find it clean and with generous bed. The decoration is a... More

Like others we stopped just one night en route to safari in Tanzania. I can't fault the hotel on rooms or service. The grounds are very relaxing and varied with sunbeds, a pool and poolside service. We were kept amused by the antics of hornbilled birds and monkeys in the trees. Unknown to us the next four hotels we stayed... More
