I stayed at the Mount Meru Hotel on business and found it to be very comfortable with friendly staff and superb grounds. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with a mini bar, satellite TV and great view of the superb landscaped grounds and views into the distance which are beautiful. The restaurants serve up good food though the lunch... More

My wife and I stayed at Mount Meru Hotel for one night, with two other couples, at the end of our 8 day Safari. The food was very good and the hotel staff were excellent, very pleasant and professional (an exception was at breakfast where service was below average). My wife made use of the spa facilities and was very... More

Stayed for two nights at the tail end of a business trip. Rooms are modern, clean and temperature is easily controlled. Shower has no door, so water goes everywhere in bathroom (I don't understand this design). Breakfast is decent, with omelettes made to order. Gym is not great - low ceiling, crummy old treadmill, some Nautilus type machines that were... More

Just stopped by for dinner one evening. Unfortunate only one restaurant was open as we came a bit late. The setting is good. Food was pretty good even though a bit overpriced and service was surprisingly fast and friendly . for a non Swahili experience is highly rec commended

Staff are swift and keen on details. I stopped over for a business lunch and was not disappointed. Had my lunch at the garden and the environment is totally serene.Keep up the good work and motivation.

We stayed there in February for 2 nights before starting a 1 week safari. It is a nice, modern, spotless, commercial-type hotel that was the perfect transition on our arrival in Africa (for the 1st time). The room was large, nicely set-up, clean and had a great view of Mt. Meru. The restaurants were excellent and very moderately priced for... More

Very nice hotel for the area. The staff is always attentive and nice, most of the time remember you after they've seen you once, which is nice. The food is never disappointing, the view of Mount Meru is always breath taking from the front rooms. The pool is also nice but VERY cold and in several years of staying here... More

Since i arrived late in the night, i chose and slept in a nearby lodge but had meetings the next day in Mount Meru hotel. As I walk there in the morning, it starts raining heavily & am all socked & wet. Management took me to the laundry room, gave me dry & warm clothes, then happily cleaned, ironed &... More

Hotel is getting quite old and many of the features are very old-fashioned or don't work. Dark furnishings in bedrooms, leaking shower tray (in both the rooms I had over a two-week stay), electric sockets in the breakfast area non-functional, etc. But it has a lovely pool area and nice grounds overlooking the golf course one way and Mt Meru...
