Unfortunately very disappointing, some staff are not "switched on" especially when trying to arrange or request service. Grounds very nice and food is acceptable. Pool is not heated and cold. We had been referred to a chemist across the road which was clearly not acceptable. Beds hard. Overall spending $390 USD a night is overpriced for what the hotel provides.... More

Very nice and pleasant hotel to stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Enjoyed the Mount Meru view directly from my room. Restaurant serving one of the Great Taste of dishes. Gift shops are excellent and good prices on Tanzanite as well. The staff are incredibly friendly and gentle. Overall, I had a very positive and enjoyable stay.

The hotel is about 45 minutes from the airport. It is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of the town. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Breakfast on the terrace is a must. Rooms are not huge but very comfortable. Bathrooms are a little small but perfectly adequate. Pretty good wireless internet throughout the hotel but it... More

We were expecting big things from this hotel we left feeling disappointed. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and looks fab from the outside and from the inside looks promising, our room was a standard double it was clean although the bed sheets weren't ironed and did look as though they had just been made after some one else... What a gorgeous hotel! So peaceful and so scenic. Just outside the hustle and bustle of the city yet only 10 mins away. Enough local bars and pubs around the vicinity and amazing little restaurants. The hotel had good service and beautiful deco.

The Hotel is easily accessible by travelers since it is located on the highway. The food is great especially the breakfast. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everything works, AC, wifi, warm water, it generally a great place to be in. My room faces the mountain so there is just an amazing evening view from my window. The spacious... More

We are here. And we’re here for we came to climb Mt Kilimanjaro! Thus the excitement is palpable in our group. Mt Meru Hotel is very much an international style hotel. With very comfortable big rooms, great dining options, beautiful terrace and large grounds around the hotel with a wonderful pool area. It is located just as you enter Arusha,... More

We had 2 day rooms (until our night flight) at this hotel, on January 1st. The hotel itself was party central for families, with lots going on outside in the nice pool area (mainly for kids), and inside at the restaurants and lounges. In the neighborhood of the hotel, there were many local nightclubs and parties going on. Otherwise -... More

The location is brilliant; great views, lovely grounds and well maintained. Plenty of amenities one would expect of a modern(ish) hotel that advertises itself as 'high-end'. It was, I understand but could be wrong, built in the late 70's and last refurbed in 2010. It didn't look tired to me, and certainly not so in comparison to other large hotels... More

I am a frequent visitor to Arusha, recently i stayed for a couple of nights at mount meru hotel, take it from me, it is the best, excellent modern and clean rooms, superb views in all directions, but what i liked the most was the vibrant bar and seating overlooking the garden and the evening live music, a definite saver...
