The staff were very attentive and pleasant, I only stayed over night as i was on my way to the Serengeti, but what i encounted i liked. The Serena lodges and hotels are of a good standard. more

We stayed here in Room 25 for just the one night in late December. As we were to discover during our Safari with Roy Safaris (excellent) it was a typical Serena property in that it was comfortable, clean, secure with good food and mostly good to excellent service. Our "Rondavel" # 25 was a distance from reception with only a... more

It is a lovely hotel - just like what I'd seen in the movies. Great rooms in private houses, a lovely dining room in a stately looking mansion, and incredibly lush grounds. We were all blown away! more

The hotel is situated overlooking Lake Duluti about 12 Km from town. It is about 1Km off the highway so is very quiet. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The rooms are large, bathrooms also large and nicely appointed. Showers are nice, although the showerhead in my room didn't work all that well but the water was good and hot so... more

We stayed at the Serena Mountain Lodge for one night before embarking on a safari. It was a lovely place (an old coffee plantation supposedly) and a great place to relax after a long trip to Tanzania. The main house (with dining room, bar, reception, etc) was very pretty while the rooms were terrific...all spread along an overlook to lake... more

We spent two nights at Mountain Village at separate points on our holiday. The first stay was a good one. The room (i think no.9) was a way out from the main building, quite secluded and therefore quite quiet. Patio doors lead out of the bedroom to a nice view of the local lake. The second stay was not so... more

We only stayed for one night as part of our tour. The main hotel feels like an old colonial plantation house set in lush tropical gardens filled with Banana, Papaya and Sausage Trees! The service from staff was exceptional and the food was faultless. The rooms were spacious thatched huts, complete with Mosquito net around the bed and a lovely... more

We didn’t stay long here (14 hours total) so we couldn’t see too much of the place. It’s located about a ½ hour drive from Kilimanjaro Airport. The last 5 minutes of that drive are on a mile-long pot-hole-filled dirt driveway. At check in we were greeted with a glass of pineapple juice, which was a very nice surprise. Our... more

Began our safari booked through Trailfinders at this Hotel, really wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a wonderful hotel, there were plenty of activities from Canoeing to Village and nature walks. The food was of an excellent quality, and the staff were a credit to the Hotel, friendly, helpful everything you required. We were only sorry we were... more

A great place to stay after climbing Kili. Luxurious, pretty with a great staff and great food. Everything you need after suffering on the mountain. We stayed one night then went to Lake Manyra and Ngorongoro. Highly recommended. more
