Thank you Joyce for your excellent hospitality, lovely grounds and rooms and wonderful food!! The view from the restaurant is wonderful and you can hear the waterfalls running below in the valley. Joyce creates a safe and reliable place to get away from almost all of the sounds of the busy Arusha town. Fresh food prepared wonderfully with excellent onion... More

Songota Falls Lodge was our " base camp " during our 3 week-trip through Tanzania. We ( a group of 7 ) stayed several times for a short period in 3 lovely huts and enjoyed Joyce's hospitality and cooking after returning from the safari, Zanzibar and the local tours.

Songota Falls Lodge is the kind of place that once you get there you don't want to leave. I recently spent a week there and I already miss the place. The lodge is situated 500' up in the hills next to Arusha, away from the city noise. The temperature is a little bit colder too, wich is great. Another benefit... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay with Joyce at Songota Falls throughout our 2 week stay in Tanzania. Unlike many travelers who only spend one or two nights in the Arusha or Meru regions before or after a climb or Safari, we stayed at Songota for seven nights of our trip and couldn't have been more pleased... My boyfriend and I stayed at Sangota Lodge for three nights after our Safari. We enjoyed the lovely quite, green and family-like atmosphere. At the time we were the only guests and so enjoyed peace and tranquility. The food Joyce prepared was very delicious and romantic - she lit a candle every night. Of course down in the village you... My wife and I stayed in one of Joyce's quaint cottages the first night arriving in Arusha. We had 8 days of safari experience ahead of us. Coming in from a very long flight the location was not very far from the airport. The location is set in a peaceful setting after quite a drive along a dirt road. Once... More

Stayed for 5 days at Songota Falls in December 14 as part of a holiday. The lodge is located in a lovely area of banana plantations and forest just North-East of Arusha city meaning you can getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The road there is an average quality dirt road which goes on a bit but... More

Stayed one night before the Safari. We were amazed by the unique African design and the hospitability of Joyce. Thevbreakfast are delicious and The Joyce makes you feel at home. The surrounding area is also very beautiful - worth a trip in the village.

We spent 2 relaxing nights at this lovely lodge with amazing views and space to enjoy quiet time but Joyce was always available if needed. The chalets are comfortable and homey with small private patios. Recommend hiking to waterfalls if time allows. Good breakfast included in price and fantastic lunches and dinners available often cooked by Joyce. Hope to return... More

Songota falls lodge is great because of Joyce and Raymond who take great care of you. Joyce took such great care of us and our little 4 yr old daughter. We would recommend her son Raymond as the best safari guide. We are dreaming of when we go back and sample some more of Joyce's delicious pilaf!
