We stayed in this hotel 3 nights (not consecutive) during our holiday. We enjoyed it very much. Here are the details: Room: nice cosy room, warm water, very clean and nicely decorated. All bungalows have a nice terrace. Internet: Available only at the bier garden. Speed is good. Breakfast: Not spectacular, musli, butter, jam, eggs and fruits. It was enough.... More

This was a very nice place to stay for a night. The dining was somewhat limited, but very good. And free wifi. They tried very hard to make it a special stay for us, even decorating the room for our anniversary!

clean, cute, lovely rooms, and great food. We sat on our patio waiting for dinner and enjoyed viewing the beautiful garden. The rooms were a bit loud as the walls were thin and we could hear voices from the other travelers. Everyone seemed to be on the same schedule so all was fine when turning into bed!

We spent 1 night at Meru view lodge in February 2014. The rooms are basic, but clean and set in a nice garden. The food was very good and the stuff friendly. Free wifi available. Would stay there again.

Our safari operator, Tanzania-Experience, arranged for us to stay here to rest for a few hours before our safari began, and once again after the safari ended (our flights were in the middle of the night), and while expensive for just a few hours use, I think it was worth it to spend the money rather than sit in the... This hotel is not in Arusha but about 30 minutes toward Moshi and up off the main road. It is a quiet location with cottages that house 2 rooms. The walls between the cottages are thin so we could hear the people next door snoring. There are no curtains on the bathroom windows so we had to put a towel... More

The lodge was nothing special compared to others we saw in Tanzania, but ok for a night before going on a safari. Rooms were clean and had everything you need. The restaurant was nice with very friendly staff. We had no hot water in the morning and the rooms got pretty cold during the night.

Pros - Nice grounds, good pool Good food Great wifi Good staff Cons - Doubtful value for money - five foot high doorways to the cottages, virtually no hot water, US$ 70 (!!) one way transfer from Arusha Beware the manager's mother, she is old school German with all the subtlety and finesse that implies. As mentioned in other reviews,... More

We've spend Christmas in this lovely lodge, and have enjoyed every minute. Staff is extremely friendly, not only towards us, but also towards our children. The food was very nice and there were two great Christmas dinners. The family cottage is spacious and cosy. No problems with hot water, which is rare in Tanzania, especially in this price segment.
