We are so glad that we decided to stay in this place, thanks to Tripadvisor. Such a quaint, quiet place, with a lovely garden and a very friendly dog (though he's supposed to be guarding us). The food is yum and Rehema, who runs this place, is friendly and fun to talk to. Her staff, Jackie and Anna, are also... More

When we (my wife and I) were arranging our lodging for our visit to Tanzania months ago, we were a bit apprehensive about booking 2 nights at Safariland Cottages because it was considerably cheaper than comparable options, but after reading the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor we took a chance and are so happy we did. We found Safariland Cottages to... More

Stayed at the cottages for two weeks on a recent trip to Arusha for trainings. Rehema and staff Jackie, Anna, Mbise could not have been nicer, more welcoming and helpful during our stay. We had people coming from five different countries, entailing multiple pickups at bus stations and airports, and Rehema always went out of her way to make sure... More

I am the Executive Director of the Trauma Resource Institute and travel often internationally. Finding good accommodations for a reasonable price where my international trainers can rest and be well cared for is a priority. Rehana and her wonderful staff were accommodating, responsive and went an extra mile, providing a hotspot of the internet and even going into town to... More

I stayed at Safariland Cottages for nearly two months recently. It was my 4th time in Arusha (1st time as a tourist, next 3 times as a volunteer) and I can’t believe I haven’t stumbled upon this gem earlier. The accommodation itself is just gorgeous. The rooms are a good size, there’s hot water in the showers, large comfortable bed... More

Safariland Cottages is a small family-run bed & breakfast where pride of ownership is paramount. Your every concern is meticulously addressed by Csilla or members of her staff. The lodging is within a secure compound surrounding comfortable ensuite cottages furnished with a single and a bunk bed. In addition to breakfasts, other meals are available upon request and all are... More

I couldn't believe that I was in Africa when my airplane landed. For as long as I could remember, I wanted to go to Africa. So, when I planned a volunteer trip through Africa School Assistance Project, I was given the name of Safariland Cottages and Safariland Adventures and the owners planned my entire trip for me, and it was... I've spent the better part of the last couple of years in living and working in Arusha. I'm not based there anymore but still come regularly on business. Safariland is a new discovery for me, I stayed for the first time last week. I spent 4 nights but left wishing I could stay longer. The facilities are very comfortable and... More

I joined my daughter at Safariland during her volunteer stint in Tanzania. What a wonderful experience. It was like being at home, and Sheila, the owner, takes such good care of everyone. This little place has everything you need and nothing you don't, as they say. Mosquito nets, good showers, comfortable beds, access to kitchen to cook, or ask for... More

I stayed at Safariland Cottages for over 2 months, for academic field research in Tanzania, and I am no stranger to Arusha (second visit for an extended stay of a few months). First, the place itself is beautiful with majestic simplicity and good care (the landscape and the rooms). I left family members and friends in awe when I sent... More
