Had a great stay at arusha backpackers! It's located near the local marked and coffe shops. They clean the toilets several times a day, so it's always clean! The staff is absolutely amazing, and treated us like family! One of us had birthday while we were there, and the whole staff through a birthdayparty for her in the bar! Thank... More

This is a good packpacker hostel with rooftop bar and restaurant. The price was very reasonable. There is a mix of rooms and dormitories. I'm not sure if any have en-suite but I doubt it. There is a central area with showers, washand basins and toilets. Rooms have a fan. Everything was clean. The one drawback was that none of... More

Arusha can run you money. The place is full of hostlers and be extremely cautious in the markets and bus stations. The histel is expensive for east Africa. Free breakfast abd wifu a definite plus. Their restaurant is high. Western toilets abd showers. Aand Arusha is a nice jumping of point for the northern parks

As Arusha is a very expensive place in Tanzania this is a very good deal to stay. We stayed there 2 nights in a double room with shared bathroom for 20 USD/night. The facilities are clean, showers provide hot water. At the roof top is a restaurant which is a little bit expensive but the food is very good. The... More

The rooms are like cell blocks but beside that Arusha backpackers is a nice and cozy hostel! It has a cozy atmosphere. Especially the rooftop (with wifi if you're lucky) is a nice place to hangout. Booked the double room for 22 dollars. Really enjoyed it!

The backpackers hotel looks dirty and uninviting, but our stays (before and after our safari) were pleasant enough. Although it was very noisy during the day and the early morning, we enjoyed being located on the main road, and felt safe enough walking to restaurants, ATMs, the bus station, etc. The dorms we stayed in were really small but clean... Worth the $10 for a dorm room and breakfast. Dorms are in rooms of four so if there are four of you make sure you get one to yourself. Was dubious as to how clean my sheets were and the room was very noisy, horns beeping all night so make sure you take earplugs! Feels safe and there is a... More

This is a good deal for what you get; double rooms for $22 a night, regularly cleaned showers and simple breakfast. It has a nice bar / restaurant with views of Mt Meru and food is basic but cheap. You need to bring some earplugs though as noise from the street or other guests can be considerable. The receptionist is... More

We stayed 2 nights in Arusha Backpackers! We felt the place safe, and the staff was very friendly the shared bathroom was very clean, and we had very warm showers!!! The only (but big) inconvenient were a couple of bed bugs we saw in our room!! We were lucky enough to spot them before we went to bed, so during... More

I spent here a couple years ago and it was Ok for the low rates. Accommodation can be very expensive in Arusha due to the constant presence of Tourists and International themed conferences. There are hot showers, the breakfast is good and you can never go wrong with the beer in the bar. The noise in the morning in the... More
