We used this hotel as our transit hotel to see the crater and Serengeti. Very clean, wifi in the lobby, nice pool, very friendly staff and management and they even packed us a boxed lunch as we were leaving early for our safari. *if you are here for a special day or romantic reason, let the hotel know and they... I stayed here one night before a safari. The room was clean, large, nice bathroom. I had room that overlooked the pool. Room had remote adjustable air conditioning. Staff very friendly. Food was good. The dinner buffet was a little expensive, 25,000 TSH. I paid $10 for wifi in my room, it worked good for internet and emails. I did... More

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of a working Safari. At the end of the day always looks forward to coming back to the hotel and it's delicious food! Centrally located in Arusha means it is close to everything! The day we left we got lunch boxes to eat on the drive, it felt like we were... More

The African Tulip Hotel is an elegant and memorable place to stay. The lobby, bar, and dining room are stunning, highlighted with beautiful wood and intriguing African art. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Staff members were exceedingly friendly. The food was excellent with some of the best soups, I've had, and enough quantity to please the 12 college... African Tulip could just as easily have been a Marriott. Our room was huge, very clean, bathroom had all the luxuries you'd find in an American hotel. Staff was very helpful, especially two gentlemen who were either the owners or managers. Hotel arranged cabs into the city center and out for dinner, recommended some bars and made sure we got... When we arrived at the East African All Suite Hotel in Arusha, which we booked many weeks before, it was closed and abandoned. We fellt helpless and disappointed in a foreign city. But help came from the chief manager of The African Tulip. He gave us a from, made us feel comfortable and let us forget all our troubles within... More

We have stayed here 4 times in the last year, and you can count on very attentive service, clean rooms, and good meals in the restaurant. We love that The Tulip is very quietly located. You will sleep well. Also, the art and decor is fun and not overdone. Highly recommend room 23 with a large balcony terrace.

Like most travelers we arrived late and were exhausted. The staff was so friendly and helpful and made us feel at home right away. We stayed there a total of 3 nights. The room was comfortable and roomy. The food was good, although I would have enjoyed a larger selection.

I did not expect to find such comfort and luxury in Arusha -- at this price. The lobby and dining room are stunning. Our room was huge, with a very good bathroom, and a balcony overlooking a garden. The hotel is decorated with African art throughout. The breakfast buffet, which is included, was enormous and everything was delicious. The dinner... More

This hotel is fabulous. We stayed here for a couple nights before kicking off a safari in the Serengeti. Located a little on the outskirt of Arusha, it's quiet, clean and the staff are incredibly friendly. The Baobab restaurant has great food for breakfast and dinner. There's also a nice patio/bar area near the pool that's great for reading or... More
