The hotel was very nice, had a nice lobby/lounge, beautiful dining room, and nice pool area. We didn't spend that much time there, but the time we did spend was very comfortable. Our room was very spacious and quiet. One thing, this was the only hotel out of 6 hotels we stayed at in Tanzania that charged extra for wi-fi.($10/day).

A wonderful hotel to decompress post Kilimanjaro trek and before our Safari with Roy Safaris. We stayed one night but do wish we had a bit longer. The staff were very helpful directing us to the closest bank and showing us how to walk into town during the day to explore Arusha and do a bit of shopping. The pool... More

The room was spectacular, the Indian cuisine on offer was exceptional and the hospitality was phenomenal. Already recommended to friends to visit and they are taking a drive down very very soon. Extremely tempted to tag along.

We stayed at the African Tulip with our family, two adults and two boys, pre-safari for 2 nights and had an amazing time. The hotel is only 15 minutes from Arusha airport and an hour from Kilimanjaro airport. It is also centrally located from downtown Arusha. It took us only ten minutes to walk to the clock tower and the... More

In the mid August, I had safari in Arusha with friends and chose African Tulip hotel as accommodation! Since we had got poor experience in Nairobi hotel before, we had no any expectation of Arusha hotel! However, it was totally different! Excellent service, big & comfortable room, tasteful food can be found in this hotel! Excellent service: The staff explained... More

My friend and I stayed here before heading out on safari. The room was huge and shower was nice and hot! Food in the restaurant was good. Wifi worked well but be aware you have to pay $10 for it. There is a business center with internet you can use for free if you just need to print a boarding... More

Was here as part of a group who booked a safari. The team at the hotel is very efficient and hospitable. The internet is decent and the food was very good at the restaurant. The night service from the restaurant is not that great but did not make much of a difference. All in all a great stay and would... More

This is the second time we’re in Tanzania and the second time we’re staying at the African Tulip. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has the nicest management and staff…they make us feel so special!!!! It also has a very nice restaurant. Highly recommend staying here – it is very convenient for beginning and ending your safaris. (Note: our bags... More

Pleasantly surprised to check in to the African Tulip Hotel in Arusha as we broke journey to Serengeti overnight. Did not expect the modern amenities the hotel offered. Rooms were large & very comfortable. The restaurant staff were extremely hospitable and accommodating although food was average. We had to pay for wifi.

Entering this hotel was like taking a step back in time to old time Morocco! Everything was gorgeous, clean and fresh with African inspired décor wherever you looked. Walking around the hotel was lovely. The staff was courteous and kind and friendly. The pool was clean luxurious surrounded by lush vegetation that was immaculately cared for. Loved our stay-first night... More
