We stayed at the African Tulip the day before and the day after our safari. The staff is extremely courteous. The rooms are very spacious and the hot water shower felt amazing after being on a safari for 9 days. The hotel serves very authentic and delicious Indian cuisine, make sure you check it out! The only downside to the... More

We spent 4 nights at this lovely hotel between a safari and trekking up Kilimanjaro. The African Tulip is clean, spacious, great food, lovely staff and quite. The outdoor pool and bar areas are great places to unwind and relax. It is just a short walk to the center of Arusha and there is a Barclay's Bank across the road.... More

We spent two nights at this beautiful hotel recovering from jet lag before starting our safari. A very positive experience, from the clean, spacious room, to the excellent food and best of all the staff. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, from trying to teach us Swahili to seeing that we got laundry done in record time.... More

Excellent Service and great value for money. Certainly one of the best options in Arusha. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Mr. Dixon welcomed was very professional and friendly.Just visited for one night so I don't know about the other meals. Room amenities are more than enough. Certainly would go back. Two suggestions. Just stayed here 3 nights. Two nights before climbing Kilimanjaro and 1 night after before heading out on safari. The rooms are very spacious and filled with lots of amenities, including a mini fridge and complementary bottled water (enough for 2 people). The breakfast buffet is included with the hotel price and has an excellent selection. The dinner buffet was... More

Very nice and pleasant hotel to stay. Liked a nyama choma at the pool side. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Gift shop is excellent and good prices on Tanzanite as well. The staff are incredibly friendly. Overall, I had a very positive and enjoyable stay at the African Tulip.

We spent 4 nights at the African Tulip before and after our Safari, as part of our honeymoon. We arrived at the African Tulip after a horrible night at the Outpost Lodge next door. Unfortunately, there were no rooms available on that day, since the hotel only has 28 rooms. Anuj the manager welcomed us with coffee and muffins and... More

I stayed at the African Tulip for a total of about 9 nights during my 2 month stay in east and south Africa. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was good. Each of my rooms (I stayed in several on my several visits back to Arusha) were clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel has a boutique... More

We stayed at African Tulip for 1 night only after flying in from Europe. Staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Room was very nice and spacious and no outside noises coming in. Breakfast was very good. I would recommend African Tulip to anyone flying in and seeking a hotel not so far from the airport before... More
