We stayed here when we arrived to Arusha for our Safari into the Serengeti. Staff were very nice and supportive. The rooms are clean comfortable and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was very good and the service in the restaurant is excellent as well. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

Our safari was with Roy Safaris, who I understand owns The African Tulip, and has their office next door. All arrangements were smooth. We stayed in the same room before and after our safari. The hotel is lovely. We were in Room 11, lovely, large and with two queen beds, separated by a part-wall for some privacy, quiet balcony, and... More

Nice, little boutique hotel with character, quite near the center of Arusha. Good and very friendly service with super-quick laundry service. Good, cozy room and very nice, big and comfy (not too soft) bed! Room was very clean and spacious. Soft towels. Breakfast was pretty good with a quite nice selection of food. Just the coffee was horrible. The hotel... More

The African Tulip is a great hotel to use as a base in Arusha when travelling to different parts of Tanzania. On arrival we had just completed our 7 day climb of Mt Kilimanjaro, we nearly cried with joy when we saw the beautiful room and shower and lovely pool! We stayed a second night after our Serengeti safari. The... More

If she says it's exquisite, then it surely is. If she puts her head on your pillow then it's a place worth staying. Being one of those fussy guests who are easily sent off by small things, I can clearly give a good recommendation. This is a cosy boutique hotel located not far from the city centre. It has the... I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 3rd to 5th Mar 2015 as a part of business visit to Arusha. It is well located though from the city crowd. It has an African authentic touch. Breakfast buffet was limited perhaps matching the size of the hotel and price they charge. Indian menu could be improved.

We had Lunch at this Hotel on 2 Occasions while going to Ngorongoro Conservation Area nd while on way back to the Kilimanjaro international Airport. On both the occasions the Service in the Restaurant was Excellent and the Food was very good. We felt like we were sitting in a Restaurant in India and having our lunch. This Hotel is... More

We spent 2 nights here after our safari with Roy Safaris. An excellent hotel to relax in after such a busy trip. Met by the management and very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were spacious, light and airy with a bay window in which to sit and relax. Large bathrooms, our just had a shower, others have bath and... More

I've stayed at 2 other hotels in Arusha and this far outshines the others. The service is fantastic, the rooms are quiet (which is unusual for Arusha!), and the food is quality (we found the dinner was slightly better than the lunches). I would highly recommend staying here.

A charming, quiet, mid-sized hotel an easy walk to downtown Arusha. Impeccably clean, delightful staff, great management -- and a terrific restaurant offering, among a variety of other things, excellent Indian good. Also an easy walk to one of Arusha's better neighborhoods free of the street hustlers in most of the town. The rooms are large, some with both tubs... More
