We stayed in the Safari Lodge after climbing Kilimanjaro and it was a perfect hotel for some rest and relaxation. The road leading to the lodge is very run down and leaves you wondering where you're heading. The stand out part of the lodge is the superb, clean and large swimming pool. Some of our group ordered a massage in... More

We booked this property especially based on the photos shown on websites such as TripAdvisor and Booking.com We were very disappointed when we arrived as it is nothing like what you see on the websites. The grounds especially around the pool were messy and not kept well. Gardens around rooms were overgrown. The tennis court was overgrown and abandoned as... More

A lovely start to our Tanzanian safari. We were made most welcome by the staff who were still waiting with towels and a cold drink after midnight when we arrived tired after problems with our connecting flight! Our lodge was very pleasant and the grounds and outdoor sitting area was lovely, especially after dark when the fires are lit. The... More

We stayed in Arusha Safari Lodge for 1 night in May 2015. The property is beautiful. On arrival we informed the manager that we do not eat beef. Also since we were travelling with 2 children we required child friendly food. We were informed that there was only beef for dinner and that the only other option was some pasta.... More

Dear Anjali, Thank you for staying with us at Arusha Safari Lodge. Our lodge is located in a large estate, the former polo club. The buildings are classical colonial architecture, including a main house, hosting the restaurant and reception, plus seven detached cottages, each different in design and décor. Manicured green lawns and trees cover the grounds and a large,... More

My husband and I live in Arusha and I booked it for my husband's birthday specifically because I had been told they had a great chef and we wanted to spend the day by the pool relaxing the next day free of our children. Unfortunately the pool had no water in it which we had not been told about before... More

Dear Benagirl83, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We apologize for not providing you with the water bottles during your dinner that evening. Indeed, there was miscommunication between the new waiter and the housekeeping person, who manages the bottled water. Regarding our manager's interaction the following morning, there seemed to have been some degree of misunderstanding.... More

We stayed here for a night at the start and also one after our Kilimanjaro climb. This is potentially a lovely property but is tired and not very well kept, and by our experience a bit Faulty Towers! Firstly we booked a double room, but were given a room with 2 single beds. The room was tired and didn't seem... More

This lodge is in a very beautiful setting about 20-30min from city center (largely due to roads and traffic). The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the grounds are lovely. Food is served inside or outside in a very nice dining room; the food was overall very good. This is a nice place to relax for a day or so... More

Dear Woody59, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. Although our lodge is located only 10 km. outside Arusha, it does feel farther removed from town. The lovely gardens and swimming pool area, offer an ideal setting to relax. The food and ambiance, apart from the impeccable rooms, make Arusha Safari Spa an all-round great option. We... More

On searching for pet friendly accommodation, Arusha Safari Lodge kept coming up. I contacted the lodge manager, and she informed me that they do not accommodate pets. I found her assistance friendly and suggested that she inform Trip advisor etc that pets cannot be accommodated.

The Arusha Safari Lodge is an incredible place. Each room is a separate beautiful bungalow with an incredible bathroom. The grounds were so lovely and we saw monkeys in the trees. The perfect African experience. Would love to go back again someday!
