We had a pleasant two night stay at the Rivertrees. We were greeted on arrival with welcome drinks and an explanation about the property services and facilities. It was evident that the property had been closed for maintenance works as the room had a damp smell, bathroom floor was dirty and generally housekeeping standards of cleanliness were lacking. The plumbing... More

After debating over our lodging options (the others being Twiga, Lake Duluti Lodge, Arusha Coffee Lodge and Onsea House), we opted for Rivertrees given its more convenient location and offering detached villas (no shared walls), which allowed us much more privacy than the others - save, perhaps, for Onsea House. Hard product wise, Rivertrees did not disappoint. The hotel grounds... More

Dear KI-NRT, Many thanks for your contribution; we are glad you enjoyed our relaxing atmosphere, the comfortable River Cottage, the beauty of the gardens and the wildlife. However it is a big disappointment to read about your experience at the restaurant. Rivertrees Country Inn is well known for its smiley staff and its good, fresh country cuisine. Our pizzas are... A large property with many gardens to walk through. Rooms were very nice, large with mosquito netting. Restaurant was open most of the time and had a good menu. It was quiet, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

I stayed here three times in 2 months. The rooms are clean and decently appointed without being garish or pretentious. The staff super friendly from housekeeping to Delphine and the principals. The grounds are cunningly laid out giving enough privacy and balanced space. You have your own garden furniture outside the room, and if you opt for the semi-detached unit,... More

The accommodation consists of high quality villas in spacious grounds. In the grounds we saw vervet and colobus monkeys, kingfishers and the giant Verreaux's Eagle Owl. We spent a very relaxing day wandering the grounds. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was pleasant without being outstanding. We noticed locals dropping in for lunch.

We arrived at Rivertrees quite late after a gruelling 20 hour journey with Kenyan airways, including a 9 hour delay at Nairobi. It was kinda hard to make out details through the fog of exhaustion but I can tell you that everyone was very kind and sympathetic. They had been advised that we were going to be late by a... More

Rivertrees is fantastic! I had about 6 crew members stay here for up to 6 days, and they loved it. I would like to say that I personally didn't spent the night, but I had meals here, interacted with staff and saw a lot of the grounds. The food is great, and they have their own vegetable garden! The service... More

what a relaxing and great place to start a safari next day. Rooms are beautiful, nicely furnished, spacious and clean so are the bathrooms. The service is excellent and the setting in the huge garden very romantic with lots of birds and little animals to be seen.

We stayed in Rivertrees for 1 night as a stopover for our onward journey to Lake Manyara National Park. The farm house is situated in the outskirts of the city and took almost 1 hour to reach there from the airport. The farm house itself is quite beautiful with good dining arrangement. The cottages are spacious and lots of greenery... More

First the good. Beautiful rooms with lovely beds and soft pillows, good bathrooms with shower and a bath and plenty of hot water. Very nice. Gardens are lovely, we saw three different types of monkey and tins of birds. Pool area nice- If extremely chilly! The food was also excellent. The dinners and lunches were very very nice and we... Dear katesmugsy, Thank you for your frank and constructive feedback. Rivertrees is famous for its relaxing and tranquil atmosphere and its mouthwatering food; we are glad you experienced it and also enjoyed the beauty of our rooms. However we have failed in meeting your expectations on some crucial points and we must apologize for that. We are continually striving to... More
