While the hotel is under construction, the renovated parts of the hotel is nice. We stayed 2 night prior to hiking Kilimanjaro and one night after, arranged by our outfitter. The rooms are modern with good amenities, however the front desk staff was not friendly and for most of one morning, we had no running water. I should add the... More

the rooms are beautifully designed and maintained. very comfortable beds. staff was helpful. the food was average but servers were very nice in the restaurant. Wi-Fi works very well in the lobby but not in all rooms. A very nice hotel for the money for a overnight stop on the road.

My 16 yr son and stayed here for five days after our safari and Kili climb. A quite new hotel, very plush, some parts still under construction, but no problem with noise, as that is happening in a separate wing. Rooms are huge, and very well designed. As well as a separate bathroom with toilet and fancy shower (sometimes no... More

Despite the good reviews and new construction of the hotel, it was a complete disappointment! Three of us climbed Kilimanjaro and then did a 4 day safari and had no issues with the camping arrangements on Kili or the hotels on the safari, but SG Premium was a different story. The first room had a bath tub in the bedroom... More

My husband and I were part of a large group that stayed here two days before and 1 day after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was a very pleasant surprise arriving here after two days of travel. The rooms were lovely with some nice options (tub/shower combo & shower only BOTH in the bathroom, flat screen TV with plenty of international... More

I have stayed at SG Resort in the past, but recently it has enjoyed a reincarnation. Building work continues but is not intrusive. The hotel is beyond my usual budget, but for the level of comfort, service and access is good value at $75 per night for a single traveller. The entrance to the spacious hotel car park from the... I stayed here one night before climbing Kilimanjaro (with Climb Kili) and two nights after coming down. I was much more keen on the hotel after the climb/camping! The hotel is clean and functional for a mid-range hotel but is still under construction. Some of the facilities are a bit odd - bath in the middle of the room -... More

I stayed here during a business trip in March 2014 but i've also visited a year previously also for work. The building work is still ongoing but it's not disruptive. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean with international tv (although sometimes some of the channels don't work). The staff are friendly. The hotel is set back from the road... More

The staff is great. They help you at your level of need. The food is pretty good but not the highest rated in Arusha. The rooms are comfortable with wifi service. The location is reasonable to various points in the city.

Stayed here the night before and after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro with Climb Kili! Very nice hotel. It is still under construction but that did not affect my stay. My room was clean. I only ate breakfast there. They had a nice spread with fruits, crepes, omelets, french toast and more. A nice simple pool to swim in and a nice... More
