Nice and clean rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. They arranged taxi for us, gave us advice where to find places and even walked with us to show a nice restaurant nearby. On the down side: prepare to be woken up by he mosque.

When I decided to return to Tanzania there was no other consideration for my Arusha lodging than Hotel Flamingo. Despite the early arrival of 3:30 a.m., someone was there to see to my baggage and get me settled into a room. I noted the addition of TV and an overhead fan in the rooms since my last visit. It was... More

Arriving at the Flamingo hotel we first had an 'oh my god' feeling. The hotel is near one of the 'citycenters' of Arusha. For us it was our second day in Tanzania. So we had to get used to it. Hotel asking $35 for one night 'non resident'. We had a room in front. Better then a room at the... More

We had a one night stopover in Arusha (traveling Dar-Nairobi) and Flamingo proved to be perfect. The young lady at the front desk was super friendly. The price was right on ($35 for double). The room was clean and came with table/chairs, TV, bathroom and balcony. Sure, this isn't a luxury hotel, but it's a fantastic budget option in Arusha.... More

Nice rooms, clean, but the best value is the staff. We had a problem nothing to do with the hotel and the manager helped us for hours, negociating the price for us and staying all the time next to us until the problem was solved (breakdown of our car)

You can't go wrong with the Flamingo. The hotel is basic but absolutely spotless. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. It was the staff that really made our stay memorable. For us it was the perfect place to settle back into civilisation after a 6 day camping safari.

Stayed in Flamingo around September 2014 with a friend. It's a very basic hotel, but the location in Arusha is good, it's clean and they include breakfast. The owner is a very friendly man, who helped us out in getting touch with the shuttle to the airport. You're in walking distance of the central market, Khan's BBQ restaurant, Big Bite... More

As has been said before this place is absolutely spotless. The beds are also great, the showers super hot and the staff very friendly. The owner in particular is very helpful and called up a contact of his to find cheap flights for us. Two things we didn't like. There are at least two mosques next door and they are... More

This is a great hotel for its price. Good location, 10 mins walk from the tourist centre which is probably a good thing with all the hassles there! Also close to Khan's BBQ and another BBQ place which we felt safe walking to at night time. Rooms are fairly basic and tidy. Hot water showers don't last very long so... More

Central located in a very secure area in Arusha Town. Clean, polite young staff and well managed by the family who owned the hotel. I met Ian and his manager for discussion on enhancing the hotel quality to deliver good service and advised them as follows: 1. WI-FI should cover all the rooms. During my visit this week, the internet... More
