Our stay have been most comfy as we were given a spacious room with large beds and also a large bathroom with complete toiletries. The airport pick- up from Taipei to Taichung was very efficient and comfortable, we didn't notice the 1.5 hours travel time to get to the hotel. Front office personnel were so courteous and helpful. There's a... More

Hotel location is good but property is surely not a five star. The room was small. Bathroom was OK. Hotel was clean and staff was good and friendly. Their is no swimming pool in hotel and gym room is very small, only one person can use at one time. When I asked at front desk to use it they told... More

Just a one night stay in this hotel before heading up to the mountains. A very efficient check-in and a room that was spacious, clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was included and it was a buffet with considerable variety. Check-out was also efficient. The local area has parks, shopping and plenty or restaurants. I would certainly stay again.

Arrived here during the night of 7th Nov. Came because it is a part of CTC tour package. The lobby of the hotel looks grand and the staff was quite helpful. My family got arranged for rooms 1420 and 1421 on the 14th floor, which is the highest floor level of the hotel. Got the 1420 room. The room I... More

I stayed a night in this hotel in July 2013. The hotel is located in downtown Taichung with a park in the front. At night many local perople are here. The rooms have double windows and its very calm to sleep. The hotel offers terrific service, is very clean. Breatfast is superb and leaves no wish open. When you come... More

From a previous visit to Taichung we had already decided to try this hotel on our next trip. Taking advantage of a special weekend offer which included breakfast with either lunch or dinner we spent three nights at the National. Our check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was large with two double beds - everything was clean and tidy.... More

I've come to this hotel many times in the last 15 years. There is a whole section of the hotel demolished now, only the modern remains. We had a room on top floor, very big with seperate office space. Unfortunately only one tiny window which makes it quite dark. Bathroom is excellent. Wired internet in the room is a bother... More

My first visit to this hotel gave me a good impression. The receptionists were friendly and check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. As were the bell boys and welcoming staff at the main door. It seems that the old portion of the hotel has now been demolished, so I was happy with my room. As already commented on, the... More

The hotel is probably undergoing a major renovation exercise. When you make a booking with this hotel, make sure that the room you pay for is in A Building. We stayed in a triple room in A Building for 2 nights. The room is spacious, but the bathroom is unproportionally small. The bathroom fitting-out and the facilities are rather old.... More
