*****Getting to the Taichung Train Station - Warning first before review of hotel!******* Location of hotel is fairly good, right behind the the train station and next to a clean shopping mall. BUT BEFORE WARNED! If you need to access the train station, you need to go out the front doors of the hotel and then cross the street going... More

This hotel has a rather old facade. The lobby is fairly classy, making me think that the room wouldn't be that bad. However, once I located my room, the door was totally made of an unsightly metal. Upon entering the room, I noticed that the flooring was really bad, with a carpet that looked dirty and beige tiles here and... More

Not sure why there are so many good reviews but I won't even give it a overall rating if I had a choice.Staffs there were not helpful and the ladies at the front desk were slightly impatient and cocky. We needed to carry our heavy luggage to the check in counter and to our hotel room(Quad room)We got the room 311.Wifi... The beds are very hard to sleep on, the rooms are so small and very old. Asked for non smoking room, but was given a smoking floor and was told every floor same. We stayed in a triple room, but was given a room with 2 very hard queen bed, no place for opening our luggage. My advice is to... More

I booked 4 nights online. Upon check-in I was greeted by a friendly and exceptionally professional front desk staff. My room, on the 10th floor offered nice city views. For one person I had plenty of space - two twin beds (firm bed, comfortable duvet and pillows), fridge, hot water maker, flat screen TV, a large modern bathroom with lots... More

Had a similar experience as other travellers, in that we booked a room at the Enterpriser Hotel only to be moved to Twinstar due to non-functioning airconditioning (or so they claimed. Personally, I feel that it is a tactic to make Twinstar more well-known to tourists). The first room we were given had an odd smell, so we requested a... More

I initially booked a room in the Enterprise, the sister hotel of this Twinstar. Both hotels are located at the back of the Taichung Train Station. However, upon checked in, I was told that the former client of my room had reported in that very morning that the room's hot water supply had a problem but the hotel would not... More

As usual, this hotel is full of china tourists. Upon entering the hotel, you can see that the lift is small and of course, slow. Location wise, it is located strategically at a good place where this is a shopping mall right next to the hotel. Room wise, when seeing the door, it shows that it is old and upon... More

We are Americans traveling to visit our daughter in Taichung. We have never traveled abroad to an Asian country so wasn't sure what to expect. Twinstar was our visit experience with a Taichung hotel, spending 4 nights, on our 10 day visit to Taiwan. In general, it was a great experience other than 1. Beds were unusually hard 2. Surprisingly... More
