Stayed in the hotel for one night in Dec 2014. Rooms are spacious and with the upgrade, our room has a small balcony overlooking the river. Free parking for hotel guests and free wifi inside the room. Breakfast was good with great variety of food including fresh fruits at good quality. There are plenty of restaurants including Chinese, Western and... More

Came here to stay for one night with my wife for our Valentine's day and was pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed it. Service - Impeccable. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, everyone was great in their service. Friendly and very helpful. We were also given a bottle of red wine and a box... More

I stay here often for business. Always pleasant. The pool area is great and there is reasonable sized gym. Breakfast is good especially if you get a window view, lots of food to choose from mostly typical Taiwanese. The rooms are big and comfortable. Hotel offers different types of pillows if you require. Bathroom big and lovely big bath with... More

I booked this hotel without much expectation after my past experience staying in the 85 Sky Tower Hotel half a year ago, but to my pleasant surprise, Grand Hi-lai was much better maintained. I stayed at the family room on the 33rd floor. Our baggage was well taken care of from the moment we got off the taxi. The porters... More

Spent three days at this hotel whilst on business. They do speak some English and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Rooftop restaurants were good but food choices in the lobby bar were poor. Wifi was free and quite good. Would stay in this hotel again!

Decor will be a good talking point, either the love it or hate it kind. Rooms are big, and I got the harbor view, so pretty nice in the evenings. Quite a few restaurants to choose from, so good selection for business entertainment; Steak house, Teppanyaki, various Chinese etc. a tad pricey. Good selection for breakfast, just have to put... My family and I went to Kaohsiung for the New Yesr and stayed at the Grand Hai Lai Hotel for one night. This hotel is a true 5 star hotel, is very beautiful and grand. We check in after 3 pm but the rooms were not ready so they gave us some drinks coupons. We went back after dinner to... More

We went to Kaohsiung for the new year activities and stayed at this hotel'executive floor. The rooms are big and clean with a nice view. Friendly staff are always there for you. There are many cafes and local stores nearby and of course, tourists like the shopping mall right below the hotel.

I had taken a high sped train from Taipei for a wedding. There is free access from the MRT to this hotel via shuttle bus to the mall ride beside the hotel. The property is striking and has that royal feel of very old and established hotels. The décor is a fusion of Eastern art and Western palace-like chandeliers. The... More
