The hotel is just perfect! Pleasant room, Good service, excellent buffet breakfast!! The hotel is attached to a shopping plaza so very convenient for shops and restaurants. The stuff was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Location is central, also the convenience of having a supermarket and food hall in the basement. Breakfast buffet was great with a good variety of food. Staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. Stayed in a quad (family room), that comes with a separate sitting area with the harbour view. Room was generous and comfortable, albeit a bit old in... More

Spacious rooms and bathrooms, fast Internet, very friendly staff (with one exception), good location. The exception is breakfast on 43rd floor. Extremely loud (at times would probably not pass safety regulations for factories in dB), unfriendly personnel, everyone seems to be stressed to the max, no smiles anywhere at any time. Answer of the Manager: "We serve 600 people a... More

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. We enjoyed the large pool, breakfast, & dinner buffet. The hotel is above a Japanese mall with a supermarket and lots of restaurants downstairs. The shuttle bus in front of the mall will take you to Central Park subway station. The rooms are kept quite clean by attentive cleaning staff. The hotel offers... More

I stayed for four nights in the Hi-Lai hotel during a business trip. This is a comfortable, large hotel with plenty of different facilities. It is located at walking distance of multiple bars and restaurants, and offers itself several different restaurants, and also a comfortable lounge. Check-in was quick and efficient, staff was friendly, and this friendliness we could see... More

The Grant Hi-Lai hotel is located in the city center, it offers (in my opinion) high standard rooms with great view (I agree - go for the Club Level!) along with remarkable restaurants. I really enjoyed the view.

The hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Kaoshiung, and offers a 5star luxury for a good money (don't expect Dubai style 5 stars, but it is definitely a luxury in terms of what 5stars should be). Rooms spacious, the gym could be better - larger - better equipped. Anyway, the location is central and I was quite happy... More

Stayed two nights in the grand hi-lai. It is a higher-end mid class hotel with the pretention to be grand. Room smells mouldy and is noisy. Interior is outdated and looks a bit run down. Had to try four times to find out how the light switches worked and never really understood it. No TV index available so 5 min... More

This is a large and very popular hotel especially on the weekends. It has a department store in the basement that was in the middle of holiday shopping sales when I was there. I arrived on a Saturday night and while the lobby was extremely crowded and bustling, I was able to check-in at the Executive lounge on the 40th... More
