Very good price with clean comfortable room and beds. Very convenient with only a few minutes walk from MRT station and a night market. Sweet staff who are very polite and kind. Very good buffet breakfast.

I had read mixed reviews about the Sunnyside Hotel, but can only speak highly of them after our stay. No problems whatsoever. The staff were always helpful and very friendly, someone seemingly on the desk 24/7. The rooms were basic but more than adequate, bed comfortable and water in the shower was always hot. Our room was a shower/toilet combo,... More

This was the cheapest hotel during our 8 days in Taiwan. We chose it for the location - right smack in the middle of Liuhe Night Market. (Although we prefered Ruifeng Night Market). It was about a minute from the subway station, which by the way was the least busy subway system I've ever seen. Asian subway systems are usually... More

Conveniently located next to MRT exit 11 of Formosa Boulevard (徢运美丽島站), this hotel is clean and reasonably spacious for a budget hotel. Next door is 711 and watsons stores. Despite warning from other reviewers about the night market noise, my room was quiet (on 8th floor, window facing eastwards), perhaps because the weekday night market was quiet too. Weekends and... Location is not good as the night market and all its noises (till 3am) are just on your doorstep. The rooms are very very poorly designed: no space for bags and plugs totally inaccessible. Breakfast is very very poor if Asian fare is not your thing. I asked for a quiet room, but they gave me a room on the... More

This hotel is right in the heart of the action - the night market is literally on the doorstep. Make sure you get a room at the back of the hotel unless you want noise and smell of stinky tofu frying. 1 minute walk to subway. Bus loads of tourists stay here that can be very noisy. Room is very... More

Location just average, rooms are very basic, cleanliness is just ok, most importantly front.desk receptionist is VERY rude. As if someone owes her a million dollars. I travel to Kaohsiung for work quiet often, there are a lot of boutique/business htls now that provides much better room facilities and uniqueness, especially superb service! i would totally advise against this hotel!

The hotel is renovated or under renovation, with cheap but smart solutions that are almost HK style, without the style, but the idea is there.. IKEA style we may say. on the cheap side. However apart this, things are not perfect, corridors are modest or not painted/finished, and doors are quite basic too (no isolation), however rooms enjoy double glass... More

location is one of the best for this hotel, near MRT station and in the famous Liuhe market. so you don't need to go far to have all the good food. just don't get lost with the MRT exit, as I remember there are moer than 10 exit points as this is the intercnage of the different lines. breakfast is... Right smack in the middle of Liuhe night market. Location is more than perfect. Take escalator from exit 1 up, turn right and walk a little more rather than climb up the 1,273,825 flight of steps at exit 13 (which shows as nearest in maps). Rooms are clean and well managed. A little too small for big luggages though.
